One is reminded of how beautiful the 458 actually is. They will be hard put to do better in the realm of a mid engined V8 sports car.

I think provided the actual reg number is a legit, old issue one, then the plate can also be the old style plate, which Is black and white, so I suspect the plate is fine. As for front plate, I used to run my 612 with the brackets specifically bent so that the plate was on the underside of the front panel, almost horizontal, and couldn't be read, and plod never stopped me, if they had I would have avoided a ticket by claiming someone must have bent it while I was last parked, and promised to fix it, result, no ticket

Sid you can only use the black on silver if the car was registered before 1973, but we could also play dumb :)

well round london it's fine to run no front plate as for the rear we where followed by police 3 or 4 times never a stopped us as the rear plate is spaced correctly visible and an actual UK plate which on a supercar round london is massively rare now.....

Wheels and parts will be up for sale shortly will keep you guys posted

Give it time, no front and an illegal rear will at some point get noticed.

Fair enough, I have seen a few cars with private plates of that age though, and each one told me they could run the colour due to the plates....
