Thats good to hear. It will be nice to have honest links to collectors when the underfunded people like myself go to sell.

I can imagine in the next 5-10 years, that the rarer Diablos (SE30s, 6.0s, facelift SVs, and roadsters) would be sought after for alot of high-end collectors.

Wrong HP rating in the description. A 6500 mile car? Seat leather stretched like it has way more...

    1983 Lamborghini Countach 5000S | Gooding & Company

This rare Countach 5000S is a remarkably original example with European specifications. Equipped with Weber carburetors and instruments in kilometers, and featuring the slimmer European-specified bumpers, this car was completed for the overseas market and likely remained there throughout the 1980s.
American DMV records for the 5000S commence in Georgia in 1992, and by 2004 the Countach passed into the care of a dedicated marque enthusiast residing in Long Island, New York.
The well-maintained Lamborghini has been presented at several East Coast concours d’elegance, including the 2009 Le Belle Macchine, with major awards received at the 2013 Americana Manhasset Concours d’Elegance, the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Celebration of Italian Vehicle Excellence and Beauty at Stony Brook University, and the 2014 Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. The Countach has also been autographed by the legendary factory test driver Valentino Balboni and is accompanied by a framed photo of the signing.
Currently displaying approximately 38,500 km (24,000 miles), this heart-racing Italian speed demon appears striking in its black and gold livery, with original beige leather upholstery. The 5000S presents in lovely condition throughout and offers its next caretaker the unmistakably vicious performance of one of the world’s most influential supercars. It is a rolling legend that continues to inspire dreams of the exotic and unattainable, and will delight sports car enthusiasts who demand the ultimate in Italian excellence.

Classic color combination, this car was acquired by a dealer about 2/3 months ago for $350k.

What I fear is that all of these Lambos (what 10 or 12 now?) selling this week at Scottsdale are all owned by dealers/speculators/flippers. Will more dealers/speculators/flippers be there to buy them at higher prices? Will real enthusiasts with real ownership goals be there, and are there enough of them, and are they willing to pay the bloated prices? We will soon see!

My gut and experience are telling me that the flippers are backing off at these prices, and I think you are seeing that in the virtual standstill of the anniversary market in particular. So, I'm hopeful that the general plateau that we've seen for a few months now will bring the enthusiasts back to the market as these buyers have generally been frightened off by the volatility.

Gooding has some lofty estimates and their LM is no different.....a ton of electrolysis is underneath the paint.

The red car drove wonderfully and although it didn't have the mag wheels it was in far better condition.

A vehicle for the man who has everything!

Diablo 98 BarretJackson last night in the mid 90s hammer. Dont know the car,but sounds like a fair price considering the hard to find factor.
