This thread reminds me of that one guy that was selling that one blue F with red interior a while back.

Soon to be a classic if the thread is not locked first.

Back on topic, I made my wealth by collecting beer cans on Newport Beach. =)

I know only one. She was with this dude named Popeye, but I don't think he was boinking her. He was too busy eating spinach & playing with his boy Bluto.

    I love it.
    1) Comes to forum asking how people made their wealth
    2) Claims an absurd number to "justify" himself
    3) Refuses to answer exactly HOW he makes said return
    4) Never indicates who he is or anything about himself
    5) Proceeds to get annoyed when people don't take him seriously

    Simply love it! :)

I guess his weekend furlough is over.

But if he is curious, my wealth is largely held in Monopoly and Game of Life currency as that cannot be taken by the tax man yet. And, it is easy to win such games when playing with the inexperienced.

It's hard to believe that he has a hard time believing we don't believe him :)

Even 9.4% a month compounded would be pretty stellar. 94% is, well...we have 10 pages on what we think it is.

And we know you're not looking for investors, you said that a few times...but could you at least shed some light on what you invested in. Claiming 94% returns will generate serious curiosity here. (and for everyones sake, please don't say "well its called Private Banking for a reason")

I'm naturally skeptical and your original post just further solidifies it.

Inquiring minds would like to know.

... no great secret to wealth; we give it to you. It's right there, in your 100 series macro:

    f(Income) = Land; Labor; Capital

    - e.g., marshal the factors of production, rub them together, control them, don't be afraid to be a jerk, and voila, presto-chango, you are a wealthy guy!

Harden your heart, reach beyond your moral center, seize and foreclose, throw people out in the street, steal their ideas, underpay them, take credit for their hard work, re-channel factors of production from low to high use value, differentiate markets where different prices can be charged for the same thing, preserve your assets, hire 5 gatekeepers to flank you from impending threat (e.g., personnel; finance; accounting; legal; operations), learn to hide assets and legally cheat on your tax -- may make for a sparkling balance sheet? But, none of this makes you a happy person.

Happiness is something else, entirely. Controlling the factors of production is what makes you wealthy; pursuit of happiness is what makes you poor...

Wealth created by sharpening your teeth on the bones of others, number 1 qualification for being wealthy: you have to be a first class jerk. Robert Ringer revisited, three personality archetypes in contemporary capitalism each have but one thing in common: with statistical certainty, each inevitably makes a grab, for your chips.

Dog-eat-dog, there is no one in history who ever bought a Ferrari who isn't, by-in-large, a jerk. To own this car, by definition, you have to be - asj.
