That isn't fair Steve, many here don't like me because what i sai about Alonso but i never got banned for it!!! I doesn't matter you preferences, but arriving here and insulting someone you never talked to before, simply because he as a diferent opinion is not acceptable.

Current WDC winners on the grid:

    Alonso (2)
    Button (1)
    Hamilton (2)
    Raikkonen (1)
    Vettel (4)

Hamilton is in that group. While the car is certainly a factor, you still have to beat your teammate. We can debate the others, but even the first of Vettel's titles was by no means a gimme. I'm fact, were Ferrari smarter, Alonso & Vettel would be tied for WDC's.

Hamilton is good enough to win multiple WDC's. That's an elite fraternity

Well said. It's very possible he will have a third one before his career ends though I think nico will win in 2015.

Yes agreed, I do not know the in's and out's of what happened, however my point wasn't about the reason he was banned, but as in why that came to be, on the surface to me it looked like he was jumped on by all and sundry because he was singing Hamiltons praises.

That would be reason enough anyway

If Hamilton's fans would just say something like "I think Lewis is a great driver" I'm sure no one would argue.

Unfortunately, they seem to have some sort of inferiority complex and chip on their shoulder that prompts them to say that he's more than great AND denigrate his opposition.

That just rubs most people up the wrong way...although in my case I think it's hilarious to watch...but I'm weird.

Most of us agree Hamilton is a fantastic driver, but like aircon said, some of his fans on here are ridiculous and fight tooth and nail about everything like its a personal attack on their mother.

And if he does not the "other cranks" will tell us exactly why he did not although it would have been more than deserved...Reasons will include "Nicole-Problems" as we already heard from down under in a very profound analysis of a true insider ;-)
You see Steve, the coin has two sides...But I apparently nothing changed since last time I looked into this section...

I think Lewis Hamilton is a very good driver, but he is not very consistent. I was surprised that Mr. Rosberg got the better of him last season in qualifying, but it was the lack of consistency that got Mr. Hamilton in the end. He did a much better job with consistency on race days.

I knew someone would get a laugh out of that! You have to admit that would be pretty awesome for Hamilton to challenge every other WDC in the same team! If he did and beat Vettel he will have beaten ever current WDC within the same team!

LH didnt win. So that counts. You have to win to win. Thats the driver and team together. They blew it. He was young...whatever.

    What are you on about?

I was saying he doesn't have to beat Kimi because kimi isn't actually a wdc (or shouldn't have been that year).

    Sigh
