Thanks For setting that straight, Keith. This is something I would know if I was ever to escape from Stage 90. It seems a new use of the term "playing hard to get..."
If my nomination results in my ascension to Chief Cavallino Controller (CCC), when my car arrives I will produce the definitive horse count. After I get a new set of business cards, of course...
I live in a part of the US that has a lot of horse farms, but none of them produce nearly as many horses as the one in Maranello...
I once joked that I own over 500 horses. People naturally thought I was a rancher until I told them that they all reside inside my garage!
While counting ponies, be sure to count the keychain. And the watch. And each piece of documentation that is stored in the pouch in the trunk.
Easier to pull off the dual meaning here, what with the abundant horses around (the type that have one horsepower each).
Radio silence. As my 12 Month California T Odyssey continues, this morning the term Radio Silence came to mind. That led me to thinking about when I was quite young and the U.S. Apollo moon missions were taking place, and they talked about radio silence when the orbiter was on the far side of the moon. As I have been in "radio silence" on Stage 90 for 5.5 weeks, I thought for a moment perhaps my Cali T was on the far side of the moon... But upon use of the Google machine, I was reminded that the missions to the moon and back only took 2 weeks. So there goes THAT theory...
Well, as you know, the luggage is quite subtle and low key. However the covers each have a large Cavaillino on the front which adds 5 to our count. And each zipper has a Cavallino engraved on the backside of the pull. Which adds 10 to our count. However, I did not even attempt to count the Cavallinos on the interior of the cases. Tell me, would you say that I have a plethora of Cavallinos when traveling? John Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
John, the official count sheet will indeed contain a line item in the Optional: Luggage section that will be listed as "a plethora of cavallinos". Of course, this will be after Maranello breaks radio silence...
Maybe Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, super Ferrari lover, was waiting on a shipment when they wrote "Dark Side of the Moon...". Maybe I could have NASA try to find my container...
I could not count them all in the image, but I did some extrapolation and it turns out you have approximately 1.36 plethorae of Cavallinos.
I wonder if one could have too many Cavalinos ? Luis Vitton feels that they should have LV on everything and everywhere. Sometimes i forget i am driving a Ferrari, so it is important that the Cavalinos are everywhere i look to remind me.
Perhaps covering the car with a wrap with the design from the inside of John's luggage would be too many. That would come out to be: (Cali T car exterior surface area / Cali T luggage interior surface area) x 1.36 Plethorae Someone please check my math...
In order to best serve this important purpose, the factory applied cavallinos covering the exterior painted surfaces really should all be individually applied to be right side up from the driver's point of view on the hood and front fender tops. May look odd to bystanders, but this is a driver's car, dammit! For this Extra Extra Campanario, price upon request...
Easily resolved: secretly transport each to and from Fiorano and have them drive a few laps at the start of the process. THEN they will dream only of cavallinos...
