Too much speculation about value. This thread is here to write about it i know but we are all enthusiasts and for me it´s not possible to pay in $$ how much happiness i have with my cars...
Enjoy your cars and don´t think too much about values.... ;)

Totally agree with your sentiment. But the discussion about values has another very important purpose as it relates to how much to insure our cars for. The one thing you do not want to engage in is a "speculation about value" with an insurance company in the event of a claim with your car. Let's hope that none of us ever experience that. I have with a previous car, and it gets very ugly, very fast.

Well, I listed my car today in Ferrariads. We'll see how people feel about this 2v carb car.
I'm curious how the market will react to all of the recent service just completed on the car as I see that as the wild card that I don't have a lot to go on unless someone here can point out something similar.

I'm going big back in Ferrari. Looking for prime, 308's 328's and maybe a TR if I can stomach it again.

Hope you get your number. The 89 that just sold at auction did not do as well as I expected. $350,000 to me is off. Just as of late your seeing a bunch coming for sale in the mid to upper $400K range.

Hope you get your number mate. She looks nice. Good luck with sale.

Also 5 F40s listed on Dupont registry. And who knows where else.

There are only 2 F40s on Dupont that are genuine real cars currently for sale.

I know that market fairly well: Cars | Joe Sackey Classics

2 are scams, and the 3rd one is a highly-modified car that has been for sale for years.

Like Countachs, their asking prices are generally higher than market trading numbers.

But back on topic, including cars in the Far East, I count some 25 Countachs advertised for sale worldwide, most of which are chassis-number verifiable, but I think I've overlooked some.

It'll be interesting to see how the market progresses.

I wonder if you could apply Elliott Wave theory here. The current price rise would suggest a 2-3 move because of the dramatic rise, but I can't figure out when the 0-1 occurred.
If we are indeed correcting off a 0-1, the next phase up should be dramatic.

I already know this is a silly post, but these are the thoughts one has late at night when it's snowing again and cabin fever takes over.

The attitude of car collectors is quite predictable. Consider that Roy’s SE30 30th is advertised at 20% less that the CT Anniversary - if you drive both you immediately realize that the SE30 offers so much more in uniqueness, classic technology, exclusive materials, excitement and performance when compared to the CT, yet the CT will probably sell before the Diablo.
We all know that the SE30 will be a very strong collector car in the near future but it remains unsold. This shows that much of the buying community tends to follow the trend rather than looking back and making a pondered investment. I know of several collectors that stocked up on Miura cars 10 years ago, and it really paid off. About three months ago a Dutch company bought three3 SE30 cars Lamborghini This woke up the market and I know of at least two other SE30 cars that had been for sale for quite a while were sold .
For the last 2 years (and still today) there have been an abundance of 25th Anniversary cars for sale – more than the QV+5000S+400S together.
