Looking to remove a windshield and want to establish contact with someone that can do this the proper way, i.e. with the use of an induction heater.
But I have problems finding any in NJ that can do this, preferably a mobile service that can come to the car.

I have read that by using an induction heater you can typically remove a windshield in about 12 minutes with no damage whatsoever to the car or the paintwork.

    Appreciate your inputs and advise.
    Thanks!

    Appreciate your input.
    It's a Diablo.
Did your glass guy use an induction heater?
    This is of importance.

Is he mobile or did you have to bring your car to his shop?
    Where is he located?

The big thing with doing glass is just take your time. I recommend you pull all the interior leather trim off inside the car so it doesn't get ruined when fishing the glass out. We have tried every possible tool and method for pulling glass. At the end of the day some patients and piano wire works every single time. Trust me it gets stressful pulling glass that is NLA.

    Thanks for chiming in.
Have you used an induction heating tool as well?
I am keen to hear what your experience was eventually.

    Like this perhaps:
The INDUCTOR Induction Heating Tools for Automotive Professionals

People selling it claim you never have to touch inside of car to get the glass out.

Honestly no. We tried all the glass guys in the area a few years ago and everyone told us 100% they will crack the glass. It's a low profit business that you really have to bang out multiple cars in a day to make a living. So all of the guys just use air tools break the glass and replace it. Maybe spend an hour start to finish.

I have my techs remove all the interior trim then have my body guy put masking tape all around the paint against the trim. Our glass guy comes in on his slow days and spend a few hours working a piano wire around the car. On a F355 it normally takes him 5 hours to pull all the glass. He has never cracked a single piece of glass on me.

Hes mobile in the tri-state. Shows up hours/days late blasting spanish music on his Iphone and you need to beg him to come but well worth it. You can tell him your a friend of Dan.

Shoot him a text 718-666-7011 names Benetez. Any issues feel free to email me [email protected] I will walk him threw the diablo over the phone if needed.

    Thanks for your detailed reply.
    Appreciate it indeed.
If I am not succeeding in obtaining a glass guy with a heat inductor your lead may be my last option.

Yeah, maybe this tool is to fancy for the "regular glass guys".
Driven Exotics in CA use this equipment. Steve told me so.
They are the premier Lambo shop on the west coast.
To bad my car are that far away.

Anyway, I would appreciate more leads regarding shops using this heat induction tool.

Watched their demo. Looks dangerous. Spraying water on the frame only and not letting it get on the glass? That indicates a potential problem. I didn't like the way they were prying the glass either. I could see the glass rebonding behind them as they were working it. Maybe this is why its not being used by many. Your Diablo glass probably costs as much as shipping the car to and from the guy in CA who you say uses the tool. I'd send the car to him if you don't want any other method used.
