Read my post again and you'll understand why it's better than what you've heard from the California T. The 458M also has a different exhaust system.

Do you have any information on how the engine operates/performs?

Are you sure about press photos next week?

I'm very happy when i see newest Ferrari!!
In these 458s (black and yellow) see much f12 lines on the front bonnet and at the back. Manzoni and Centro Stile won ADI Compasso d'Oro award with F12.
I Think that is obvious give some lines from the F12 to new 458 .
    New wheels are so nice..
I also think in the side probably there's an air intake..
Nose is much short at sides and much sharp to the center, like LF..

I'm very excited to view brand new car!!!

MM is correct. The Speciale owners will have to chime in here but it sure looks like that particular 458M mule is built off of the Speciale. Same Brakes and the front of the car is covered because it is a stock Speciale. If you take the Speciale picture above and add the same coverings on the front they look identical.

I think this particular mule is road testing whats going on in the rear and not the new front end. The real 458M front could still be anything IMO.

So I'm confused, is this the 458 replacement or is this a facelift of the 458?

Ferrari 360 was brand new model, F430 was 360 Modificata.
Ferrari 458 was brand new model, 458T will be 458 Modificata.

So, you could call Modificata some sort of face-lift, but with much more modifications than you are used to see on face-lift models from Audi, BMW, Mercedes...

So is there a 2016 or something "all new" 458 or is this it?

My sources suggest this car is not all new but an evolution of the 458, much like the 458 was a evolution of the 360. In other words the next all new V8 mid engine car is some years away.

side air scoops, about 660hp, 1/3 torque increase in every gear, about 9 sec to 200km/h.
engine less than 4 liters. no surpises there. my source was not sure about rev limit, i hope 8500 rpm.

Can't wait to see photos of the new '458'.
Do you think the new name will be unveiled too in the next week?

I wonder if the headlamps will look similar to those on F60 NART.
