15 is pretty optimistic for a 78 in my experience... maybe if you are constant on the highway and stay < 4000 rpm. Hmmmm.... maybe its just the way I drive though.

On a car club sort of run I normally get into low double figures but I remember a spirited Saturday drive a couple of years ago behind a certain black supercharged 308 down in Frenchtown NJ where I never got out of single figures :)

    Anastasio,

There are two per carburetor, so you'll need 8 for your 308. You can get them from Pierce Manifolds along with the rebuild kits. You'll need new screws for the throttles which are in the kits.

    SEALED BEARING
32650.003

The best thing would be to ship them to Pierce for a rebuild, but that may not be feasible for you being out of the US, etc.

    Good luck, Jeff

My goodness...the US cars were really handicapped when they were on carbies!! The rest of the world had a 30-40hp drop with the first injected cars.

Correct: catalytic converter and carbs don't match.

Carbs = good (as performance) just on euro cars

    ciao

Carbs died with the smog laws, not because of FI. CA does not like Carbs, that is why I moved to AZ. :)

The EU Cars (1976-1980) had different cams than the US Cars. The GTB was dry sump for EU as well.

IIRC, US is ~240 BHP (1976/77) then numbers went down when CATS came into play in 1978.

My '77 GTB, a North American set up, has P6 cams original to the car. It's a VERY fast 308.

I believe that was a performance option on the car but not sure. Most P6 cars had them installed after delivery.

Called the 'Track Pack' or 'Sprint pack' at the time, P6 cams are not very streetable, they were specific for Lemans.
