That is absolutely amazing work! Your sketch could be very close to real thing. Side scoops inspired by 308 are spot on! I hope you dont mind coloring your sketch. I`ve tried to accent all volumes that were noticeable on sketch.

    Take a look: http://s7.postimg.org/6lfie6m17/458t.jpg

Hope someone will post it as attachment...

Thanks for that - nice job.

Just got on my laptop to post but see that Brandon's done so - thanks.

Re. the real thing: looks to be quite nice, hoping it's even nicer than imagined. Hard to beat the 458, though.

I am glad you like it! Do you plan to sketch rear view? Still wondering are we going to see triple exhaust on 458T...

P.S. One more teaser from Ferrari: http://s30.postimg.org/e7xlzfaup/04040.jpg

Curious what part of the car this is as it looks quite angular...

Looks like it could be a side shot across part of the front fender and hood.

I agree. Good catch that it's from 458, because I was not expecting that crease-line to be there in the new car. Would have been back to the drawing board :)

in my opinion air intake could be projected in front like LF lateral intake, although I do not think there is enough space viewed the setting of the side of the 458 .

i'm drawing hundreds of lines since two days but the result is a disaster.

Sadly, I don't think you'll see triple exhaust. First pic (copyright WorldCarFans.com) pretty much has lower bumper sans camo - looks pretty definite. Kind of evolution of Speciale.

The underside of the duck tail spoiler looks to be LaFerr-ish so only question mark is what will fill the space between the top of the bumper (note the crease-line dips in the middle) and the underside of the spoiler.

How about a photoshop composite of two cars below?

seems that there is no active aero in the rear.

I do like the way the exhaust is integrated into the curved cooling screen, affording a nice look at the innards. The question is whether the "T-tail" of the 458, F12, FF, and LaF is maintained by cojoining the area between the tailights with the license plate enclosure and the area below. This was abandoned in the Speciale and IMO is one reason why the rear looks like it has two completely different surfaces.

The rear is said to be quite reminiscent of the F12.

Really? That looks pretty definitive to me and I don't see any resemblance. The only question mark is the space between the lights and this will not be solid like F12.

Right, it's time to stop basing one's judgement's on the design from a masked up mule. Previews are underway, and the common consensus so far is that the rear is similar to the F12. I'm sure there are users reading this thread that already have pictures of the car in hand.

I tried the LaF look but it's too derivative (obvious copy) and doesn't match the scoop location on the test cars.

The lower rear of the car posted above is completely unmasked in the lower part. The masked part cannot look like the F12 because it needs to evacuate air from the rear engine bay, unlike the F12.

For some journalists, the fact the car has the F1-style rain light is enough to declare that it looks like the F12.
