Thanks for a cool short, but as you guessed I'm looking for higher resolution (still ?) images.
Besides, with the film shot/produced in '72, the (early production ?) subject car was probably already couple of years old with almost 6K miles and appropriately enjoyed, including obvious track time, who knows how many repairs or repaints it had been subjected to by that time ;)

WOW!!!! that's from a local show called "Prenez Le Volant" (Take the Wheel). The reporter and driver is a local auto legend (race car driver and automotive journalist) Jacques Duval. The track looks to be Circuit Mt. Tremblant.

Back in post #780 Jack Maurice was mentioned as the original owner of new 1973 RHD Daytona coupe on the plate JM 103. Here are a couple of pictures from Prescott featuring him racing his 250 LM and another Daytona can just be seen parked on the left in the second picture.

With the Drogo nose, the short nose se was reinstated during a later partial restoration.

I would say the rear view is early, maybe April 1969. The other view around the same time but later in April or May? The plexi headlights version didn't appear much after 1970 in the early 14,000 serial number range.

I agree about the earlier comment regarding the paint color on the passenger side door not matching the rest of the car very well but wasn't sure if anyone would comment about it...

Man... of all the cars, a Comp Daytona is t i t s for me. They look right, sound right, and take skill to sling around. True love.

And hat's off to the guy who has the means to overcome his challenges and stay in the car! We should all be as lucky and committed.

The owner that put the auto box in the blue car passed away 1 or two years ago. I believe the car was sold to the Ferrari centre who sold it on, it was being turned back to a manual so I was told.

A friend of the guy who passed away was selling all his old parts including an original Spyder hard top !!!! He did say he would send me a photo of the top on the car but that never arrived. Pic below, of the hard top that was on the car at some point and was not sold with the car.
Being polite, everything he said I would take with a very big pinch of salt.
The car was featured in Autocar 1971 before the spyder conversion.

His friend also told me that the owner was a perfectionist and always keep the car it top condition. Make up you own mind, copyright of the photo unknown, could it be one of yours John?
It was also supposed to have been converted by the owner himself into a Spyder using only Ferrari parts. To me it looks like an Autokraft car judging by the cover that goes over the hood [ Soft top], which is not genuine. The flatness of the rear wings / boot lid is also Autokraft like.

    Thanks for that update Grant.

I should have mentioned that I took the photos at the 2007 FOC concours at Broughton Castle, near Banbury.

    John

PS Not my photo but it must have been the same event.

Perhaps not since in your pictures it doesn't seem have that "crunch" on its left rear corner.
