I think it looks great, a nice refresh! Ferrari will always improve performance model to model…thats no doubt….it all comes back to what you want out of the car.

For me….I can't wait to get my speciale!!! I am sure the GTB will be an amazing car though!

It's not always about the HP with me I just ordered a 991 GTS with 430HP
It's loaded with all the options I want and MSRP is $160K conversely I could
have gotten 500hp Porsche turbo or AMG GT for around the same price But
choose not to because I felt I would enjoy the GTS more as a DD :)

Even Ferrari engineers admit that they don't like turbo.
Do you still claim that turbocharged engine i s great invention?

There is something special about analog gauges, especially RPM gauge. It gives me sense that gauge is integrated part of engine. I had chance to rev Ducati 1199 Panigale and while engine sound was beautiful, whole impression was spoiled because of TFT screen where all info is displayed, so as rev counter. It was like you are revving damn thing on PC game.

Since analog gauges are precisely finished and printed they give mi similar impression like when I`m looking on high-end Swiss watch. It is one more nice experience that Ferrari is taking off from their cars, which is sad fact.

Agree. This is the reason I sold my spider for a coupe. When it was nice enough to drive with the top down I got damn hot. I agree that at thins price the car tech should be loaded. I just bought a 2015 911 TTS and for 200k there are really very few options except the upgraded stereo. Ferrari should do the same but I guess they don't have to. However it's totally crazy that at nearly 300k my car with the "upgraded" won't even stream Bluetooth and has an iPod connector (Apple has stopped producing that iPod). Anyway. I'm torn on design but need to see the real car as the renders often don't do justice to the real thing.

I always thought it was interesting that in the 458, F12, and FF Ferrari would present the driver with all manner of digital gauges in the TFTs but leave a nice analog tach in the center. A nod to tradition. The Maserati analog clock on the dash is another example.

forgive me if I ask a question a bit 'stupid .. 288 gto and f40 are turbocharged. that's right? in my opinion both emit a nice deep, full noise. Why turbocharged cars of today differ so much from the Ferrari of the 80s about noise?

8/10 sec lag is significant. Maybe not so much doing 0-60 in 3 sec, but passing on a two lane road with a lag is not what I am looking for. Of course, the only way to know is to drive one.

IMO I don't like the door handles and they could relocated them closer to the side window area... Look at the door handles on the 3x8, TRs, 355s, 348 Ferraris, they'll all unique...

The Camaro Z28 is 505 HP and naturally aspirated, and manual gearbox... only. It also won Motor Trend's latest "Best Driver's Car" competition. The 458 won it in 2011.

For those who overlook the significance of the v8 turbo drivetrain just need to sit in a California T. I guarantee that many existing Ferrari owners will be turn off by the sound of the new 488, they just don't know it yet.

Lamborghini Huracan did not need to go with turbos, why did Ferrari need to?

Though many people will like the 488 just because it is new ... IMO, it is an abnormal design from Ferrari, looks like they did not learn from the 360 to F430 transition.

458 is cleaner, sexier, smoother all around.

Because Lamborghini uses the spare parts from the VAG inventory while Ferrari stays at the forefront of technological innovation. If you don't like the turbo, you don't have to purchase one. There are plenty of non-turbo Ferrari's available. The sound will be fine, have you driven a Cali T since they released the SW update improving exhaust sound?

After a glorious LaFerrari, using a turbo is pretty much the opposite of the forefront of technological innovation.

Porsche. They are on a whole different level. Ferrari is in the turbo baby shoes. The lag from the cali was utterly disturbing and the sound just terrible. For some reason even the dct was slower on the cali 😂 Lets hope the best for the 488. design wise it has won me.

Has anyone heard the 488 yet? I thought that did a bunch of work to make it sound better than the Cali T?

Improvement in look vs. 458, at least from the front (though not sure big improvement vs. Speciale...)

Performance specs? Don't know if they blow me away...

Given other NA Ferrari choices like the F12, FF or 458, I assure you I won't be buying a turbo ferrari.

If you understand turbo technology it basically acts as an additional muffler since it muffles the exhaust gasses, remove the turbo and the V8 will sound glorious.

Mercedes is in forefront of turbo technology given their long history of turbo road vehicles and most recent dominance in F1. Ferrari is playing catch up.

Yes I been in the new Cal T, I laughed at how awful it sounded.

Try sitting in a Mclaren mp4 at a stop light, close your eyes and you think it sounds like a golf gti.
