    I'm starting work o my newly acquired Euro QV...I' ll have pics to follow this weekend.

    As I start to tidy up the engine bay it's clear that the engine sound pad at the top of the engine lid needs to be replaced. Can anyone steer me to a source?

    There's no sound pad on the underside of the engine lid.
    There's only the mesh screen and the sheet metal for gutter.

    The Steam Punk edition had a sound pad.

    Yep, no pad. The center area should have a textured black paint coating just like the other areas on the underside of the hood and on either side of the engine bay.

    I don't know about 308’s, but some 328‘s came with a "pad". I know a number of cars that were imported from Switzerland and they all have a "pad", mine included.

    Looks like a compressor lower right so I would say supercharged!

    My car was imported from Switzerland and it has a pad between the louvers. Its started to deteriorate so I'll be looking to replace it. I did drive over to the shop today to look at my car and check for the pad just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind.

    Henk - from HVL has it. Very close match to the original also used for the fire wall insulation on the 328 Swiss spec cars, say hi from Rocco (Toronto)
