Very nice Roma1280. Modern winter performance tires really have come a long way. Car looks great. Are those new aero bridge pieces without shields? Car is more stealthy this way.

Manya81, that color reminds me of the Nuovo Rosso Scuderia color they used on the 430 Scuderia launch/ press car. And I agree, it looks fantastic.

Yes I bought new areobridges and had them painted. In a world of $3,500 carbon fiber cupholders, they were actually pretty cheap, something like $1,300 each plus paint. It's annoying though that the shop didn't get the paint color right. I mean its pretty close but not perfect. If you look at the car carefully, you can see that the aerobridges are slightly darker. When the car is clean on a sunny day, you can't really notice but in certain lights you can and to be fair only if you are looking for it. When I switch the tires back to the summer tires (if this winter here ever ends) I am going to put back the original aerobridges with the black carbon shields and try repainting the ones with no shields. Anyone know a good paint shop in the New York area?

Great congrats. I would recommend getting an extra set of aerobridges so you have shields and no shields. If you ever want to sell the car it will make it more marketable and unlike mine, the paint color will be right if they both get painted at the factory.

Didnt know that without shields the F12 was more marketable. Thansk for the info.

I don't think that it what he meant. Shields are manatory for resale, although some, like me, prefer the car without, although we are a distinct minority and on the F12 it is the only model that you can option easily with a spare set of bridges.

Yes exactly, my point is that for a few thousand dollars you can have both shields and no shields.

One the best F12 photos I've ever seen. Thank you for reposting.

I think it was a lucky shot with the lighting. A black and white photograph is said to be good if it has white in it, black in it and all shades in between. Adapting this to the titanio color on the car, the part under the aerobridge is virtually black, the scoop on the hood is almost white and every shade of titanio in between. I think it's the variation in the color that makes the picture look good. This is a feature of the titanio. It makes the car look more like a sculpture because the light reflects from all the curves and angles giving many different shades, unlike some colors that give a more mono chromatic and therefore flatter look to the car. Ok that was way too long a comment on a photograph of a car, but I guess that's what we do here on Ferrari chat :)

Yeah we chat about Ferrari! :)

I can see the color issue you mention. I would think you just need to bring the new parts and your car (or maybe just drop off all 4 aero bridge pieces?) to a good shop so they could match the color.

PS I think the car looks great with or without shields. The traditionalist in me likes the V12s without shields.

I'm probably in the minority, but I love this. Enhances the bad boy/bullish nature of the F12berlinetta IMHO. I still prefer a stock car though.

Agree with both comments. Is that a spoiler coming off the trunk?

Hmmm... I didn't know Liberty Walk did an F12. Any more photos or a link you can share?

Not for me, but to each his own. I dunno, its starting to be a bit too much of a US/Japanese cross for me with those muscular fender flares, like Corvette meets GT-R.

I must say though that, like the prior post, lowering the F12 is dead sexy.

It's also much better to photograph a car on an overcast day. Doing it in bright sunlight is extremely challenging as you get these very hot, pinpoint reflections of the sun. Overcast or just after sunset with the sun at your back -- the best.
