    Can anyone give me an idea of what a fair price for a complete tool kit should be? The leather cased one, not the few top tools in the spider next to the parking brake.

    I know it is only worth what someone is willing to pay, I would just like to know what some of you seasoned guys would be willing to pay? Thanks.

    If it is perfect condition inside and out everything there I would pay between $500-650...If I wanted one

    What top tools? I have a 348 and I've read the owners manual front to back and I don't remember seeing anything about this. Please expand on this if you guys don't mind.

    355 spiders from 96 on (or was it 97?) had a top tool kit to allow manual raising of the top in case the hydraulic system failed.

    my 355 spider has a small tool kit next to the parking brake. A couple of screwdrivers a long bolt to manually move the top (not that anyone would ever have a top issue!!) and a pair of white gloves. At least that was what was in mine.

    A guy on ebay has a nice one but wants over $800, seemed pretty high to me. If anyone wants to sell one let me know.

    A 348 doesn't need top tools. It's got a manual top. They always work. :)

    Have you all gone nuts?!

    The Ferrari tool kit has what? 6 cheesy wrenches, 2 screw drivers (they have Ferrari printed on them), a pair of pliers, a tow bolt, some spare bulbs, an A/C & alternator belt, and some "fix-a-flat" spray. Oh yeah, and a leather case (whooopty dooooo).

    Sorry but I would rather spend that kind of money on some REAL tools that will get put to good use. As of this post you can buy a 283pc, Two HUNDRED and EIGHTY THREE pieces, Craftsman tool set from Sears for $250, WITH a tool box!! Craftsman Mechanics Tool Set: Tune-Up, Repair and Rebuild with Sears You will still have $250 CHANGE to buy any other tools you should need to fix your car.

    Sorry but there is NO WAY you would catch me paying $500 for 9 tools in a leather box stamped Ferrari.

    Seriously guys, use your brains here.

    Ernie I dont think this is value, some guys want to have everything that came in a 355 in theirs..

    If my 348 had some historical significance (Important, as they say) and I was doing the Concours circuit then the proper tool kit would be necessary for me.

    Although mine has a new one, I'm not sure if it's correct (sized in between the low/flat and the tall).

    Tool kits are going for about $500 for a good one. If you buy it you have two choices when you sell your car. You can sell it with the car. It becomes a bargaining chip. If the buyer lowballs you, you can say for that price I'll keep the tool kit. Or just take it out to start with and sell it for what you paid elsewhere. You are not going to loose money at $500.
