    Patrick - you're welcome. Years ago I used to build model cars (when my eye-sight was good) and comparing colours was a little trick I picked up then. Hope the build goes well.

    Cool. That was at Sunset Blvd and Harper I think. "The Marquis" was then owned by Mickey Dolenz' family ( he of The Monkeys) but is a ridiculously expensive abandoned building now.

    Surely an entertainment figure's car...

    John, I believe this is s/n 10271, which belonged to then 23 year-old Ken Sylk at the time (and for a long time after). Can you get a clear look at the license plate on the original?

    Hello Everyone,
    It is hard to believe that this thread is over nine years old and nearly 9000 posts. A friend was doing some research today and found copies of the photos I posted here in 2006 on several different websites. I intended to share with fellow enthusiasts but never anticipated how extensive it would be. Wow!

    Yes, still one of my very favorite threads. I have more pix, but my computer has decided that I can't post them, and my computer "expert" (?) can't finger it out. I didn't say it was his fault, I'm just saying I blame him. Just sayin'.

    I think I just figured it out. Here's a thread that was posted in an odd place, but three days later you created this "More Old Photos" thread here in the Vintage subforum. Makes sense that "more" meant that they were in addition to the single photo posted in the previous thread.
