Agreed, but kaleidoscopic light show is worth the price of admission. Best

I agree, Pagani went over the top with that dash.

It sounds like it's sneezing every few seconds. Horrible.

I like the new 488... it's aggressive. For me it much like the transition from 360 to 430 where the former was sleek and sexy where as the 430 is more brutal and meaner in appearance.

The one thing, however, that I wish they had changes or modified in some way was the roof line. I could never quite figure out why some view of the 458 looked a bit off to me (and when I say that... its just nitpicking nothing more) but I just never really like the way the roof narrowed towards the back. I didn't fall in love the bubble look where it's broad and rounded and tapers as it sweeps back. I always thought it would look better if the with of the roof somehow spanned wider like on the 430.

Now with the changes... for me... I think it's the only thing I still don't really like all that much.

I like the idea of a V8TT. I'm guessing it will be just a software upgrade away from more power, and turbos are easily upgraded as well. Just hope the block and pistons will be up to the challenge. And for sound, the turbos do enough muffling. Check out Zork tubes on 930s, just pipes coming straight from the turbo.

Heard that the spider will actually follow pretty hot on the heels, maybe as early as April 2016.

    OT,sorry.

I understand all the Pagani enthusiasts' appreciation for the mechanical sophistication of these cars, but I just can't get into the Spyker-like styling and interior appointments.

I never thought a Countach could look bad, but Pagani managed it with the 25th anniversary "re-styling". After that, I'm not surprised by anything he does. He obviously understands his market.

Pagani tried to make Huayra total opposite from Zonda that was very raw. I assume he tried to get to even higher market with all those flashy things in interior and stuff. And with turbos he tried to make Huayra less vulgar and "hooligan" friendly.

I hope this new concept works for him, but so many special Zonda build requests in past year are proof that very rich guys want raw experience, not fast vacuum cleaner with flashy dials.

    Just look at this monster:

    That F40 sounds great.

This what the 488 should sound like.

It would be interesting if the 488 sounded like this:

I noticed you dodged this question so I'll ask again:

This is not including Hong Kong or Taiwan right? (they always seem different to China imo, via UK pre 1997 etc) They sell pretty well in those countries/regions.

As I've mentioned previously, I'm on an early allocation list for a new 488 GTB. I've read the hundred of negative comments on the new 488 being turbo charged. I'll admit I have my concerns about the new car maintaining the visceral feel and emotion of my 458. After all, nothing in my experience feels and sound like the 458.

All this being said, after 3 weeks of not driving my 911 Turbo S, I jumped in the car yesterday and fired it up and thought to myself, this is an incredible car. I have race exhaust and a high performance tune, and can honestly say my TTS not only is incredibly fast, but sounds fantastic and elevates my blood pressure with every shift.

Forgot to add that when I was driving through the parking lot to pick my son up, the first thing he said was " your TTS sounds incredible, I almost thought you were going to pull up in the 458. Love the exhaust!" My son's a total car nut and drives a new BMW M3. I totally respect his opinion when it comes to cars.

Sure, it only redlines at 7000 rpm, BUT its screaming fast and extremely exciting to drive. The exhaust is loud and aggressive with lots of gurgles and pops when you push it and a mild rumbling when driving it easy. Simply put, without spending over a million dollars, you'd be hard pressed to find a car faster than my tuned TTS. Maybe the new Maclaren 650s?

What's truly amazing is it looks like the new 488 with be faster than my tuned TTS and the 650s. I also trust that Ferrari will be able to maintain the soul and traditional visceral sensation they're famous for, including an engine note to die for. Their reputation depends on it.

I'd love to hear a sound clip of your 911 turbo that almost sounds like a 458.

I'd be happy to post one, but I've never heard a Go Pro video capture the true essence of any exhaust sound, including my 458. You really need to hear it in person, which I'm happy to do if you are anywhere nearby.

And just to be clear, it definately doesn't sound like the 458, but does sound incredible for a Turbo car, which is the only thing I was trying to share.

I just wanted the Ferrari owners to know that turbo's can sound great, and I'm sure the 488 will. Different than the 308, 328, 348, 360, 430 and 458, but still awesome... JMO

i do not want to put down your turbo S at all - in fact it is an incredible technological achievement. i found the driving experience (three afternoons, rather fast twisties, highways etc) totally non-involving and - frankly - the sound experience has nothing in common with my 458 italia. the burbling is totally artificial and when i left the car i never looked back at it.
anyway, an awesome daily driver but expect something different from the 488GTB.

Understood…. I just genuinely wanted to hear a TTS that sounds much better than stock.

I'm not in your neck of the woods, but thanks for the offer.

If your in Florida, Champion always have a tuned TTS with race exhaust available for a demo ride.
