Anyone have information about the possibility of retrofitting cruise control onto a 2012 FF that didn't come with this option from the factory? I've seen some 2012s spec-ed out to a $350K sticker price, but the $1100 cruise control was left out. For geezers like me with bad knees and a trick back, being able to take a foot off the accelerator pedal and wiggle around a bit is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for comments.

It was added to my 2013 FF (but before I acquired it). Use it frequently.

There is an option to add cruise control after delivery. Parts total will run about $1,270; which includes a proxy file at no extra charge since it is an accessory. Labor will be approximately 2 hours.

FWIW 2014+ FFs have it standard, just like Corolla.

As an aside the switch positioning on the dash is absurd in a car that prides itself on keeping vital controls at hand on the wheel.

I have no idea what a "proxy file" is, but am happy to hear that it won't cost anything. Surely a Ferrari first! Very good that retrofitting cruise ("Pit Speed") to an FF is possible. This expands the number of cars for consideration.

I agree that the location of the control knob for cruise is not the best. Without the traditional stalk on the left side of the steering wheel for directional signals, which often also had the cruise control function or a smaller stalk behind it for cruise, I guess the engineers had to come up with someplace else for the control.

kidnapping the thread ... Is there , also , a retrofit for the electric folding mirrors ? My car does not have it and I am flabbergasted that a car at this level does not have it as standard ! Cheers

And yet they put the Start button on the steering wheel, where it is hardly needed at all. There's some really odd logic here. Oh, make that Italian logic.

Parts will be $1,500, labor around 3 hours and the mirrors will need to be painted.

I like the flasher on the wheel. Flashing is often done in Europe - especially on the autohahn. We also have laws demanding the use of daytime running lights.
