So if at RM Auction Arizona on Jan 16th 2015 a 11,000Kms 288GTO non Ferrari Classiche certified sold for £1.81M what would a 1400Kms Classiche certified 288 GTO be worth...?

I think mileage difference almost irrelevant, they are both low mileage cars. One has been driven 440 km per year, the other one 56. I might almost favor the higher mileage car.

I think condition, history, service records, tools, books, spare etc all more important than mileage here. I think classiche is a nice to have but again don't think it materially increases value, just makes the car a bit more marketable to an uneducated buyer.

Agreed, I think it is a combination thereof. IMO mileage is an important factor to many of today's buyers. So too, a value determinant is current availability of GTOs in the market.

Also any 'significant' initial owner/ subsequent owners, e.g F1 drivers, Ferrari F1 drivers, etc.. How many owners etc.

Yes indeed, for some people, significant original owners can make a big difference, good point.

I secured the Niki Lauda 288 GTO for my client, and to him its priceless because of the first owner.

Looks nice. Will be interesting to see how the market values a 50,000 km car. I think increasingly mileage will become less of a factor and condition, history etc will drive value differences between cars.

    Joe,

My first reaction to the signatures on the front of this fine GTO was to sort of cringe. Different strokes I guess but does this do anything to the desirability from a market perspective? Thanks.

Does anyone has more details on 52475?
Amazing to see the Pozzi sticker réappartition between January 2014 photo (Gooding) and RM website pics!
Also surprising: 42475 is one of the first GTO (42465 is supposed to be the first after anteprototipo) and nevertheless motor number is 90.

The signatures on the bodywork can be polished out, I imagine. However, more importantly, the bodywork has been modified on the rear panel, as have the engine, exhaust & suspension.

The car represents a significant refurbishment/restoration project to be returned to standard configuration, which is what is most desirable in today's market.

    This is all I have:

    52475 - ZFFPA16B000052475, AC, PW, engine 83, VM8500, Colosio/Italy, Pieroni/Italy registered MO.672223.

I see my notes say engine 83, not 90.

Looking at the bodywork, the car appears to have been in the USA at some point.

Also, I have it some 9 cars into production, if you exclude the 6 Prototypes. However I defer to Marcel Massini for accuracy of all the aforementioned.
