Nice, I wanted to do this but was not sure if I had the height and never took the time to measure. I have thought about it and it should work. I might have to change the track on my garage door to provide more clearance. How much height do you have from the floor to the bottom of the door track?
Because if he had go the other way he would have dump oïl on the Nice Ferrari. ;-) Mustangs leak too you know, especially if they have power steering.
8' 2" to the tracks, but or course they are well off to the side of the car. The door itself can be opened high enough to allow ingress/egress of the Mustang. I did have to disconnect and raise the electric door opener as it would have made this impossible. I just roped it to the ceiling for storage so when the opener on the other garage door breaks, it will be close at hand.
The unit comes with two oil drip trays and a heavy duty jack tray that mount/slide in between the main rails. Even a 20W-50 monsoon would be captured.

Just an fyi. They do make zero clearance rails. There are two tracks for the door wheels. The one for the upper door wheels goes right against the ceiling. The lower wheel track goes right under the upper track. I have also seen two tracks right against the ceiling side by side - the outer one for the bottom wheels and the inner one for the upper wheels. The upper wheels get scews to the top inner part of the garage door. This wAy u can gain a couple of inches. They sell garage door openers with longer beams so they can be moved over the front hood of the car, or there is a side mount system which goes to either side of the garage door.
If my budget and spacing needs were different, the zero clearance rails would have been a good solution. As for the side door opener, I saw those, and that could become useful as I age, but currently opening the door by hand is pretty easy. Turning the steering wheel with sticky tires at 0 mph however...
