If your talking about the black in in Vegas, that guy bumps his own bid.. then contacts you after the sale saying the "high" buyer cant pay for a while story

Josh, I was actually the high bidder on the black Vegas one and things didn't work out on my side of the deal or I would have taken the car at the price in a minute. I had been out bid and ended up buying another car from a friend who needed money then the high bidder retracted their bid and I won. I no longer had the means to get more money together and had to let it go. I think I'll regret it forever.

 

There was just a black 91 with a rebuilt title and a little rough up for bid.
There is a guy with a burned roadster and a 6.0 that a tree fell on, that's probably the ones you're thinking of.

 

I just remember a guy had two of them in need of complete resto's because of the damage.

I think parts cost would elevate them into being on part with a non damaged car.

Looks like the yellow was wrecked once and only been on a fork lift a few times (SMH)

Yes that really is aggravating, you don't use a fork lift on a good fixable car, thats for the junk that's getting parted out and shredded.

 

Good luck Howie, these are hard to come by. Everytime there is a reasonably priced one they sell too fast. I would have considered selling my TR to get one but all the cars I had in mind are now all sold. The silver on red car on EBay was a local car and I know the previous owner. Scotti sold the car at auction. The owner offered the car to me for $90K cdn but he didn't knew Scotti already sold it for him. That would have been a super deal :-(

I think I'll keep the TR for a while now.

BTW what about the blue car that had been for sale for a while in Toronto? It had a newer front end on it with silver and blue alcantara interior. They were asking $80K cdn.

At some point soon, that 6.0 will be very undervalued at $60k or whatever.

 

There were two Lamborghinis on the Copart website yesterday in the exotics section, they need more than just a little love..

 

I talked to the last owner last month. He told me the car was at Scotti for sale and he wasn't sure if it was still there as he didn't had any news in a long time. He sometimes leave his cars at Scotti for a long time in storage. My friend bought two of his cars, a Diablo at Scotti and the LM002 directly from him. The LM has been some 10 years without running and at least 3 of them at Scotti.

He told me he left the car there ans asked John to find him a Murcielago spyder to trade. I learned this weak his Diablo was part of the large Scotti collection auction. And it's the one for sale on EBay, I suspected it when I saw the car and mileage which was exactly what the previous owner had told me.

 

Wow, yeah 90k last month would have been an amazing deal. There was also a blue 91 or 92 Diablo in Ontario last month on Kijiji (Not the one with the updated non-pop up headlamps). Not sure how much that one sold for.

 

Yes I was also watching this one. I left many messages on his answering machine but he never called back. Then I saw the ad was not there anymore. :-(
