Hamann's were all the rage in the BMW community around 10 years ago, but they were ridiculously heavy wheels.

I don't think I could put wheels on a high performance car that are heavier than stock wheels...increasing unsprung weight on a 355 (or any car really) doesn't make sense.

Tomy- Those look like the OEM 360 18" modulars, made by Speedline or BBS. (Maranello 18" modulars Speedline, 19" modulars BBS)

Last time someone checked, Hamann still had one set of PGIIIs remaining, but the price was very high. Not so bad now that the euro has dropped like a rock.

That's actually edmo7's old car. Not sure if he's still active but you could always PM him to see where he got the wheels. I remember seeing it for sale back in 2004 and have kept my eye on it ever since. It went though at least one owner before it got to him but he did all the mods to it.. worth a shot.

Never mind reasonably priced. The auction is only for two wheels. Sorry

Even the PG3's? High quality multipiece wheels usually aren't all that heavy.

Do we know the weight of an OEM wheel and one of these? Or is this just speculation?

I don't remember the specific weight of the wheels (I think they were like 25lbs, but the other options at the time for the BMW folks were wheels like the Kosei K1's that were like 16-17lbs or so. So a ~7lbs savings was huge.

They are very heavy...>25lbs. FWIW, factory mutlipiece wheels are very heavy as well. It has to do with passing TUV standards for a given weight class, or so I have heard.

The factory Mg wheels are very light, as they are Mg vs the typical Al-Si

I almost wonder if some are getting the PG2 and PG3 mixed up as they are very similar? The PG2 is pretty heavy, but the PG3 is a lighter version of it. Take a 19" wheel for example, the PG3s are lighter because they utilize an 18" center with 19" spun barrel which is much lighter compared to the PG2s that use a 19" center and 19" cast barrel.

----EDIT: Found someone on here who weighed the stock 355 wheels.----

"Stock Ferrari 355 wheels weight--- I recently weighed my stock wheels and got the following results.
    Fronts - 22 lbs
    Rear - 23 lbs"

So, it seems like the Hamann PG3s weigh only a few pounds more, and that is in a larger size to boot. This could also be offset depending on tire selection as different tires have different weights too. Seems like a wash to me...

I found a set randomly. Will post pics once they're mounted. Probably a couple weeks out though.
