I believe I now know who LMFAO is - here is a clip of him in 2003... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfAeMtcURg0
You are funniest guy on the net. Really Waiting for a more reliable source about the bespoke trofeo R for the P1, I have really enjoyed this GT2 lap in parcmotor castelloli circuit searching for the high speed turn where the P1 generate a peak of 2,15g in the Topgear test. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ozmwc4QiuMs The speedometer is under the revcounter, feel free to add 10 km/h more due to the pilot (not bad at all 1,58 vs 1,55 of Stig in a Turbo S). Where are the high speed turns ? Eh ? Are you dreaming of what ? And from which planet cames the Nismo GTR that use downforce at high speed ? I suppose it cames from your planet. The Mclaren Planet where there is always a problem of tires and of loose fasteners and casually cambers changes always in the right direction. In Porsche planet camber angles are correct, tires are good and fasteners are tight. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Boy it takes a lot of words to explain why the P1 is faster..... Where as the simple fact it apparently has to be explained to begin with, should be telling enough....
Why do you guys think, the people who argue the most on which is the fastest, never seem to actually own(or be remotly close to ever owning) any of the cars they debate so absurdly about? Yet, actual owners, seem to barely care, appreciate each car for what it brings and often own two out of the three.
Prototype lawn or private viewing? Hope you will be there in Pebble in person. Would love to come say hi...
Probably because others have done pretty well for themselves from arguing before. It's the McLaren pyramid scheme! Buahahaha!
It's my daily ritual now to grab some popcorns and read up on what non-sense LMFAO posts everyday. Entertainment value is up there with SNL. He reminds me of those Japanese soldiers who went hiding in jungles and got lost for 40 years and had no idea what the world is like right now.
Plenty of owners care about which car is faster, including the guy who set up the Laguna Seca head to head. But yeah plenty of absurd bickering which has just kicked up a notch with the arrival of the Mctroll.
New Z06 vs P1 on COTA. Well, not really. Neat to see though. Check out that pass in the beginning. Corvette was already going like 140mph too. Edit: You can't embed YT videos anymore?
Hmm, no, the Kamikaze dies and does't come back. This guy is like groundhog days, keep coming back and repeat the same thing over and over again. Or if you like, Jason from Friday the 13th.
Jim, Are those Kashima coated shocks? If so that is true attention to detail. I am wondering where the DLC coating is on the shafts though. Regards
Impressive speed from the P1 on the straights. It left the Z06 behind like it was standing still. More impressive was the Z06 driver who kept reeling the P1 in at the corners.
Incredible , from the racing lines the corvette driver seems to be more experienced. However, the way the p1 handles the corners just shows you how well balanced the car is. Awesome to see these cars in action. Ps is that footage from the corvettes on board cam and telemetry?? If it is then WOW what a feature!! Common whoopsy, you shouldn't be terrified from any pro mclaren post on this forum. Even though the P1 is a better car it's not like Mclaren or or any of the boys are out there to get you, except if your on track When you are make sure that your battery is fully charged, because once the performance drops after a Lap or two in HL mode, the p1 will leave you behind just like the z06 in the video above.
We obviously saw, that this ain't gonna happen, even if you rent a professional racing driver to do your work behind the wheel of your P1... hoho
On the lawn. Veronica and latest member of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah congrats, all those sleepless nights but the only thing that truly lives forever is your children.........
Now you're comparing standard tyres and applying the result to modified tyres, which is like comparing standard cars and then applying the result to modified cars. The telemetry speaks for itself. At 31psi the P1 has a contact patch of 110sq.in. and at 35psi, the 918 has a contact patch of 105sq.in., yet the telemetry showed the 918 to be making more g in low speed corners and under braking. Don't even know what you're talking about here.
We continue to roll on the laps. Testing going well On Monday we'll test with our bespoke Dunlops with 10 P2's at Aragon. I don't think we'll be faster then them. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great Rant!! I'm gonna get some more popcorn!! And the sheer unbridled entertainment by some posters (as I'm reading and you're responding) continue.
I've decided to play along with 'Sparky'. I don't like the handle "LMFAO" at all. A bit too crude and overused. Just something to kill time while waiting for double O three's unveiling. I've got plenty of material to feed trolls. I just love exotic hardware. And 003 has some rather exotic hardware. Err, quite. I mean dang, just the wheel hub assembly and brake assembly on that thing gets me worked up. A couple of months ago I purchased a special in depth publication by Air International on the F-35 II Lightning. Jeebers, terminology, and lingo...I have to read each page multiple times just to get some semblance of what the heck they're talking about. That machine is the epitome of BAD @SS, WICKED, Beautiful, etc, etc, etc. Huge interest in fighter jets and weapons technology since I was a Jungen. It is the only machine I would take over the Hypercars and OO 3. Putting in my deposit for one soon. Mine's the F-35B, as I need vertical landing capability I decided to skip the Weissach Package on this machine.
At least I know you, of all people, will NOT blame it on the shoddy Dunlops! Seriously, Mac brought this on themselves. This joke will fester and stink even more, just like the company line. Shazaam!
