For when cars in storage, restoration, lying idle.. etc.
I'm a little late to the party on this thread...but I have S/N's of about 50 cars currently in the US (or at least were within the past few years), with about 15 others that still may be around. I quickly found that registration info on 288's can be pretty spotty.
Please post them. This way we can cross-review and corroborate, and everyone benefits. I think you'll find that a percentage of them are no longer here. Ive exported 6 myself, and am aware of at least a dozen cars that have gone abroad in the last 10 years whilst the Euro was strong.

I think Naples can claim this particular 288 GTO as a part time resident with at least one more residing full time. Not bad for what was once a sleepy little beach town.
