Sounds good. Sounds exactly like what JP Exhaust is doing by partially rebuilding the header. It sounds like they are just rebuilding the primary tubes and probably using the same collector. It doesn't show a picture of what the primary tubes look like. At least JP Exhaust has pictures of what their primary tubes look like so you know they are mandrel bent. Well made headers should at least have mandrel bends.

    nice find. interesting alternative.
nonetheless no different then the Ricambi exchange service.
rebuilt by JP Exhaust who also rebuild using 304ss.

Ricambi service is $2700US all in, including prepaid fedex to send your units in

Prindiville is offering service for £930
factor in the shipping which they make no mention of and Exchange rate.
Likely end up at close to $2700us.

check what it cost to ship a set of headers to the UK?

I'm having one of those "If it seems too good to be true" moments. I do slightly disagree with your statement though because I think the best headers are ceramic coated of some sort.

Now what would be perfect would be having the header shields themselves vented as shielding is a band-aid. Unless the heat is released it will continue to rise until it acts as if there is no shielding at all - it's just delayed. However, if there were a passive air intake and exhaust of the clam shell, the heat from the header could be drawn from under the engine compartment, drawn out the hood, and not built up in the engine compartment.

Yahoo currency converter puts 930 Euros at less than $1100 or is my math wrong? even if shipping was $700 both ways (which I doubt it is) still saving a G....and they are insulated in the clam shell

Right now the Pound is about 1.50 US - making it less than $1500 for the work. While I haven't priced it, shipping back in forth is probably well under the $1200 difference from Ricambi.

it's not Euros it's pounds. this company is in the UK.

but yes you are correct, there would still be some decent savings after exchange and to be determined shipping 2 ways.

see if you can get more info from them , pics , and how they coordinate shipping for non uk customers etc.

This is actually 930 gbp or 1431.97 usd.

Still seems like good price, shipping will be about 150-200 usd each way.

It is too bad that they don't have a picture without the shields on. That would give you a better indication on what you are getting. Here is picture from JP Exhaust with the primary tubes rebuilt.

At $1500 to rebuild it, high quality SS takes a big bite out of that in just raw material. I would do them in 321. Going to do a set I have to cost them out one of these days.

You get what you pay for no one works for free

I was going to say that's cheap for a company charging super expensive flash ecu tuning. Did anyone else notice their ECU tuning options?

Two headers 1860 pounds + tax 372 pounds = 2232 pounds = $3436 + shipping. No bargain here not to mention you still don't know what their works looks like.

Great point if that's the case, I didn't see the site, just going by what was posted. So my too - good - to - be - true sense actually worked this time.

Randy, don't worry about it, we are all in this together. :) Initially I just read the description pretty quickly myself after your post. I didn't even make it to the bottom of the page where it had the quantity listed. I went back to look at it more closely after Jim had pointed the price per shield out. I then proceeded through the whole checkout process. Didn't look bad at a quick glance. Even if they were that cheap, I still wouldn't buy them until I got to see what was under the shields.
