Anyone ever see or find out what it was listed for?
Another 1990 Anni. being offered next month @ No Reserve. 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary | The Andrews Collection 2015 | RM AUCTIONS No mention of mileage yet.
so why wld anyone pay 750k for this when you can get an anniversary for 400k? I get why the non ground effect cars can perceived to be "nice" but why wld anyone pay up for this model?
I'd pay somewhere between $250,000 and $450,000 for this car, with the final number subject to detailed inspection. LP400 - $800,000 to $1,200,000 LP400S S1 - $550,000 to $750,000 LP400S S2 - $400,000 to $600,000 LP400S S3 - $300,000 to $500,000 LP500S - $300,000 to $500,000 LP500QV FI - $250,000 to $450,000 LP500QV DD - $400,000 to $600,000 ANNIVESARIO - $300,000 to $400,000
750$ thats cheap, there is a qv dd on Mobile.DE germany asking 2,5 mil euro, then again ,why would anyone pay 400 for an anni when you can buy a qv for 750. Ha ha all good
That same car has been for sale for months at the same dealer for $425K Must have been "on sale" $750K....give me a break
This strategy is used in retail all the time. Offer at a big price and then have a 40-50% off holiday sale.
I like your sense of humor, but seriously, ttforcefed's point is well-founded because the 25th is a better car than the USA QV FI in every way: it drives better, handles better, is built better, and is more reliable. With circa 185 examples of the FI 25th, its rarer too.
All valid points, guess we all have different images innprinted in our minds reg what pushes the right buttons in ones sick and twisted Countach world. To me these images are the no frills shoebox air inntakes, combined with black naca ducts, curved door sills, clean and uncluttered, and the eggcup seats wich fits my 5,10 frame perfectly, ones these key Countach elements where removed or changed, the car lost some of its appeal in my opinion, i think the anny is a super cool italian mid engine exotic, just not the Countach i grew up to admire. The design elements on the anni where to close to the typical 80s german tuner companys koenig and the likes, The great philosopher of the world Kim Kardashian ones said ,there is an ass for every seat,(or the other way around)
What's interesting is that the 1982 Geneva show they reference is the EXACT car that RM sold at Monterey in 2013 that they also discuss. How do I know? I'm the one who bought it.
So Joe, I'm curious as to how the production numbers equate to these models and values? It is very helpful and interesting to see your numbers on one page and to add the production amounts might be even more intriguing. One side note (and be forewarned, I am biased!) is the 1990 year model the least produced of all the years? Seems odd that if this is true, the last year, least produced, most refined, and most prolific poster car would be the least valued. Don't get me wrong, the market and what people will pay always dictate the values and I am a huge fan of carburetors over FI. Thanks!
