SE 30 thread

Congratulations on the purchase, a very nice and original SE. This car has been in the Netherlands for the last 20 years; where is it going?

 

For now it will stay there love the car but cant import it so will keep it in Europe until I sell it if I do.

for now I will keep looking at the die cast in my room, will be going in July so if you want we can arrange so I can follow someone

Wow, that's the hottest SE30 ever

 

Hmm which # is than my posted one? Any thoughts?

 

Tried to spot it in the register but couldn't, lovely color by the way

 

I may hage saved some photos, need to check my laptop. About six years ago i went to see a 600 hp SE30 which had been modified with a blower kit in Germany. I recall the car dealer was asking for 135,000 Euro. It was the same color and had a grey leather interior and the blower modification and new motor HP was reported on the German documents.

 

I also drove that car once! It was owned by a good friend of mine. Unfortunately i don´t have a photo of the #. If i see him next time i will ask him!

 

An extremely nice SE30 with under 1,000 miles is headed to a new collection soon.

Looks like a red car.

Interestingly, two owner/buyers reached out to me recently on the 30SE from Singapore/Malaysia for history.

Basically, the dealer then HongSeh Motors/NextCar (Malaysia) were responsible for the region serving wealthy clients like the Royals of Brunei & 13 Sultans of Malaysia followed by Indonesians.

AFAIK. There were at least 5-6 RHD delivered to Singapore (excluding the Royal garages), I'll need to reconfirm this number again as it was several months back when I last spoke to the ex-service manager. Car no 70 (registered in Singapore) & 71 were the violet which 71 was sold & registered in Malaysia while there were a red & yellow unregistered cars kept by the company & the pair were only exported few years ago. There's a white, possibly pearl white & a couple others to be accounted for but all were exported and none left in Singapore by now.

Interesting. My RHD car was apparently built for the Sultan of Brunei

 

I thought that was the burgundy SE30? Maybe both were?

 

Maybe, from what I understand is that mine was ordered in a shade of Jaguar Black to match his XJ220. For whatever reason he didn't take delivery so it became the UK press car before being sold into private hands.

 

Could you share some pictures with us? Which # do you have? I have a SE30 register and i´m happy to fill it with some more information

I had a conversation with the owner of the burgundy SE30 some years ago, and (from memory) Lamborghini didn't finish the car in time for the Sultan Of Brunai so it went elsewhere.

 

I met a mechanic from Italy that went to work on the Lamborghini cars of the Sultan in Brunai. He saus that he had to replace an SE 30 Diablo side glass because the person had slammed the door so hard that the window shattered!

Awesome color on that car. Can't tell, but lighting makes spoiler look like carbon fiber and not body color.

 

It is. This was the 1994 Paris Motor Show car and it has some unique options to illustrate the possibilities of the 'Carte Blanche' customization programme. The wing was later re-painted or replaced to match the body color.
