That's very interesting. Mine is a 1998, but the sticker is below... HOWEVER, I did buy a second engine lid and this is the one currently fitted to the car. It's entirely possible that this lid is off an earlier car. Is it possible to buy the "correct" sticker for my car? Oh, and if anyone wants to buy an engine lid, let me know. My car is a 1995 which is Rosso Corsa 300/12. According to Cavalino Rosso Corsa 300/12 was used from 1994-1996. 1997-1999 model years used Rosso Corsa 322. I think 322 might have been continued after that.
Strange as my 1997 F355 (April 1997, IIRC) has the Rosso Corsa 300/12 sticker as well. I suspect that jimmym is correct and some 1997's may have been still painted with the old color.
Mark, according to Cavalino, Ferrari switched from Glasurit to PPG in May of 1997. Seems like the information is somewhat contradictory, because it stated that 300/12 was used until 1996. Rosso Corsa 322 in 1997. With probably most Italian cars, especially the older ones, the record keeping and documentation is variable to say the least. They probably had some of the old color still hanging around the paint shop, so they used it.
