I upgraded my Radio, and am trying to sell my radio on ebay, what is a fair price?

I have it listed at 650, and I see a range on ebay from 600-1500. No hits so far.

(I also have all pins etc along with the instruction manual)

Currently I have the Clarion NZ502E along with some upgraded speakers (not sure what they are)

I like how it automatically pops up when I reverse to show the camera.
    Pairing wasnt an issue

I may need to do something about the speakers. Its an okay system, not too impressed, really feels like its from the earls 2000s

You need to figure what Becker model you have - a number of variants were fitted. If it has sat nav it may - note may - be worth a little more - 600 seems optimistic given I believe Becker are out of that game now so after service could be an issue

I got $300 for mine but it had a damaged faceplate. The buyer said he had the repair capabilities so it was a win-win for both of us.

$300- $500 is what it should bring. Of course if you need one, you wouldn't be able to locate one at these prices and would have to pay the $800 or so.

Are the brackets on the back the same for a Canadian vs US edition 430?

The value is to your car's future owner, not you. Generally speaking, F-car buyers go for originality and dislike aftermarket in any form.
So do whatever takes your fancy, but keep the stock stuff on the garage shelf

To be honest, I dont want to keep thinking of my car's future owner. I could easily sell the outdated headunit now for approx 500. When I sell my car 1-2 years from now, I doubt that having the original unit or not will be of any bargaining power of the future owner.

If I changed something of significance like the seats or wheels, I would most certainly keep the OEM. But with something as archaic as the OEM head unit, I dont see the point.

I will relist on ebay for 450

+1 above. I'd keep it personally. I have the original that came with mine. Shiny silver knobs and scrolling letters, and big flipout screens that obscure the vents.. while may be functionally wonderful, but detracts from an otherwise pristine car. To be frank, when I see an ebay ad and there is a bright chrome knob in the center of the dash I think "its been mucked with"...

Unfortunately, I have yet to see an aftermarket stereo that doesn't look like it belongs in a kid's pimped out Honda Accord. It may not sound great, but at least the Becker looks "right" in the cockpit. I'm sure I'm totally in the minority here, but I'm yanking the dated Alpine my car came with to put the original back in.

Clearly the aftermarket unit is better! Even though I still have no idea how to operate the crappy radio in my 07 430, I still like the originlity

I agree completely. I just bought a 430 Spider which has an ugly Alpine radio. I'd rather listen to the engine anyway, so I am looking for an original equipment unit.

    Any suggestions?
    thanks

I installed the Porsche Classic radio in my 430. I love the fact that it says Porsche on the face of it. It is a wonderful radio/nav system. The OEM radio wasn't doing it for me.

I don't really use the radio in mine but I found an electronic copy of the Becker 6112 manual if anyone needs it. It's like 200 pages of gibberish but I was able to finally find some radio stations.

Can you post some pictures of the system in your car, open and closed. I was told that it kind of sticks out when the screen is in...
