Blaupunkt Bamberg Am FM Cassette Stereo Radio Porsche 911 Turbo 930 | eBay Blaupunkt Bamberg Electronic Vintage Radio Mic Memory ARI Manual Mint Restored | eBay Two interesting Bamberg options. I never meant to be the guy monitoring these things, but I have an ebay saved search that pops up results ever so often. In this case, Chromelondon has a ROW euro unit 104mz for ~$1200, including tuner, mic, holder and very rare tuner mounting bracket. It also has the traffic tuner module which was europe only. It has the incorrect fascia. The other one is BIN for $1300 is also a euro/ROW unit, but without the accessories. It does however have the correct fascia plate and mounting hardware which can be difficult to source. The Chromelondon unit looks like a very good deal, possibly we are seeing some exchange-rate benefit here. I paid $150 for an NOS mic alone and was offered much more for it. The mounting bracket for the tuner has usually been lost. Finally, according to the description, everything is 'fully operational' which is very rare: apparently the tape transport on these was a unique design and not replaceable/repairable.
This thread has a lot of tire discussion. I ended up using Michelin TB5 on my 8/9 x 15 Fuchs; they look just fantastic and are period correct however it is a very soft compound so sandblasts the wheel well interior with every tiny pebble on the pavement... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the look of those TB5's especially the side wall. I'm almost certain we don't have those here in Australia, do you have any photos of those tyres on your car?
Not great photos but such as they are... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Mike – nice chart that shows part numbers for 300 KPH electronic speedometers used in the 3-liter Turbos. For the 1975 & 1976 Turbos, the speedometer type will indicate if the car was originally equipped with 215/60 VR tires (Dunlop or optional Pirelli CN36) - Gearbox 930/30 or 225/50 VR 15 tires (Pirelli P7, M395 option) - Gearbox 930/32. Closeup of my 300 KPH speedometer part number that confirmed my Turbo was originally equipped with Pirelli CN36 tires with 930/30 gearbox. This thread is getting more like something you would see on the early S registry in the good old days before folks got obsessed over valuations. Thanks everyone - I learn more every time I log on. Phil

Great stuff. Thanks so much for this, idart. I specifically like the address "Villa Herbert Von Karajan 7500 St. Moritz" and the body version "Limousine".
You’re welcome. Last summer I saw this record at a local flea market for 50 cents. Thanks to this thread, the “Von Karajan” in the upper left caught my eye and I bought it. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) trivia from IMDB: The end music credits do not list a conductor and orchestra for "Also Sprach Zarathustra." Stanley Kubrick wanted the Herbert von Karajan / Vienna Philharmonic version on English Decca for the film's soundtrack, but Decca executives did not want their recording "cheapened" by association with the movie, and so gave permission on the condition that the conductor and orchestra were not named. After the movie's successful release, Decca tried to rectify its blunder by re-releasing the recording with an "As Heard in 2001" flag printed on the album cover. John Culshaw recounts the incident in "Putting the Record Straight" (1981)... In the meantime, MGM released the "official soundtrack" L.P. with Karl Böhm's Berlin Philharmonic "Also Sprach Zarathustra"[9] discreetly substituting for von Karajan's version. This may help for the TB15 doesn't look like they are available in a 16. I guess they would be called TB16 if they were Classic TB15
Here's a photo posted on Herbert von Karajan's Facebook page and you see the same style seats installed. Also note that when they changed to 1976+ flag mirrors, they may have installed the driver's side a little too far back on the door as you can just make out a metal plug left over the 1975 manual mirror mount. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143618374-post3200.html Image Unavailable, Please Login

Defiantly a US 76 VIN. There is a valuable car under all those modifications. My guess would be the owner might not know where the market is on these.
Ive seen this before, Canadian cars go cheaper. Just not the market base up there for sports cars as a whole. Really this car should have been brokered. Someone is going to get a steal!
