Amazing. She is stunning. Well done!
fascinating pictures... I was well aware of the sale in Monaco but what got me in doubt was the inverted blinker lights. Someone went thru great expense to change the front bumper to a 5000 and then someone else had to put it back. I guess then the guy who did the work to 5000s inverted the lights by mistake or copied a switz car. So that car was initially red/tobacco from the picts?
Even though I just purchesed my first Ferrary the bull will always be on top! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I realize I didn't even introduce myself... My name's Victor. I live in France, Switzerland and China. A true passionate of Lamborghini cars and history since... always? I am collecting memorabilia, photos, books, scale models, data, etc. It's been almost a decade since I'm investigating on Lamborghini's history and you can guess why I'm here now: I simply LOVE the Countach. *!all-time-dream-car!* Actually, I'm following this great thread since 2011... reading each answers and being amazed by all these photos and information you guys shared here. By the way, THANK YOU ALL for making this thread such a great source of Countach knowledge and pleasure!! My current objective is to help completing the Countach registry with VIN, photos and data... And this, for no other reason than for the Countach' sake! Yes, I'm planning on buying a Countach soon or late... but I'm not here for any business reason... only to share and to learn more. So, let's continue with this: A friend of mine saw this blue LP400 in Florida, back in the mid-80's. This car was used in a movie during the same era. And, it has been found recently (no idea of the year though) in a huge movies/TV-cars barn find! It could mean that this car (and the other ones, including two other Countach, one being another LP400) spent more than two dusty decades down there...? Do you guys, have any idea what happened to the car then? And what is the VIN? It looks a lot like 1120154... Hi Victor, welcome to the club! This Countach thread is amazing, I have to catch up, been busy lately ;-) Keep up the good work, and we might be able to identify and share some Countach history here! And enjoy all the great pictures and stories, this is really is Countach paradise! About this blue LP400, yes, I thought this was #1120154. Same interior, white turning signal lenses, USA side markers, USA history, could be the car! Anybody can confirm this? Joe? Ciao! I'm not sure if they have really been "found" yet. That photo and a few others was posted on instagram about a year ago by someone who claims he is friends with the others.
1120154 is not the one from Canada which originally was modified for hand controls only? First example I ever saw.
That was #1120172 Ex-Paul Marshall of Canada til 1992 or 1993. Hand operated clutch due to Paul being a paraplegic. Purchased by the Lamborghini importer in Canada, Ayad Shammas who subsequently restored the car completely to very high standards. I think it was auctioned last year.
First photo was taken some years ago in Lyon at the old garage Calderoni, the second one was taken this week in their new garage (A good place for seeing old Lamborghini near Lyon). The QV is FLA12855 first sold in Canada and imported from the Netherland, I expect that it'll stay near Lyon... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
