It also needs a huge amount of money thrown at it to correct all the various things that detract value including correct whale tail, proper Fuchs/tires, correct exhaust, engine gone through, remove rockers, paint may be necessary (bumpers, tail), etc. That will not be an inexpensive proposition...
Agreed but given market for nice 76's these days may be worth it. My advice to folks is don't consider a project unless you can much the work yourself. If you have to pay to have work done professionally you are almost always $$ ahead buying a good car to begin with. Be interesting to see where car ends up. Phil
Me as well - I have one just like it parked in my garage but mine makes the ebay one look like a show queen. Someone may have made an offer to good to refuse. Phil
I have a set of twin plug heads with matched intake ports for a Carrera manifold, the manifold, new TEC3 system, Elgin cams, custom exhaust- I think I need to get rid of this stuff before I do anything stupid!
The easiest way is to do a motor drop. You'll need to remove the intercooler, charge pipe, plenum and other bits. You'll want it to look like this. However, the black charge pipe and plenum are difficult to come by. I hope I'm using the correct terminology! https://drive-my.com/images/930turbo/Porsche-911-Turbo-3.0-Coupe-11.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads15/Porsche+930+motor+003+Medium+1254152206.jpg From this. http://image.automobilemag.com/f/32187165+w600+q80+re0/1003_15_z%2Bporsche_911%2B33_liter_turbo_engine.jpg
Finding the parts will be harder than doing the work. I have replaced all the rubber components in my 3L induction system. It's a bit fiddly but you can do it all without an engine drop.
You're is a bad as me, like being at a AA meeting where someone is passing around a bottle of liquor. Phil
Well the seller declined my offer and is now planning to relist it and run the auction! He didn't realize where the market has gone. Stay tuned this will be interesting.

anyone remember the 70's disco version? It's funny you mention that, I just heard it the other day on Bozeman's public radio station KGLT, it was a blast from the past as they say. Phil

One year newer this Ice Green 1977 930 sold yesterday for less than 62k USD on ebay. Does the 1976 model year command a premium compared to one year later build 930 cars? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can you please post a link to the auction for the 77, looks like someone gave that one away. The 76 does command a premium over a 77. Phil
76 was the first year for US. Magnus Walkers 77 sold for US$111K not that long ago. I would expect the Canadian car to top that.
