458 Speciale picture thread

In the United States "Audio, SAT, NAV and Telemetry" are "standard options". I know of two Speciales in the US that somehow managed to be specced without these options. You'd think this would be easy. My dealer placed the order for my Speciale in early December with special request to eliminate these "standard options". The factory flagged my order as a "serious problem" and it appears my order has been in limbo ever since. My dealer seems to think it will all work out fine eventually...easy for him to say. It reminds me of the joke about two buzzards patiently waiting for something to die..finally one buzzard says "I'm tired of waiting, let's just go out and kill something". I'm this close (if you could see my finger and thumb you'd see how close they are to touching) to going to the factory myself and straightening things out!

Blue carbon sills?

 

That's the protective film on the CF as it comes off the production line, I think.

That's correct. Lots of carbon fibre on the spec, telemetry, track cams, lifting, afs, HELE, titanium exhaust and full luggage set! I'm getting paint correction done and then full paint protection, so will pick it up later next week!

Had the chance to talk to someone about this and the understanding I got was that the electronics that operate the radio are inside the dash. It is more than a little difficult to delete it. Good luck

 

Yet in UK RHD radio it is an option!

Thanks for asking the factory about this. What's frustrating is they deleted the radio from at least two US Speciales that I know of so it can be done. I even offered to pay extra. Still no luck. I even tried to explain that if they wouldn't (or couldn't) delete the radio would they at least NOT install the "SAT antenna" on the roof. Nope. They wouldn't do it. The bloom is off the rose.

after a Rosso Corsa 599, then a Rosso Mugello 430 Scuderia which I absolutely loved, I placed an order in June last year - decided on Rosso Mugello with no stripes! Pics finally started in last few weeks with impending delivery in next 5-6 weeks hopefully!

Gorgeous. Big congrats. Mine was delivered within 4 weeks of receiving the e-mail picture at the end of the production line. Not certain if that's common or my photo came late but I got the photo on my birthday August 27th and picked the car up at the dealer September 24th.

 

One of my absolute fav red colors for an F car! What a great color! Congrats and can't wait to see pics of the car once you get a chance to enjoy her!
