    Hi!!!

Please, does anyone knows how many labour hours Ferrari says it takes?:

    - Mayor service.
    - Complete Timing belts + water pump + tensioners
    - clutch replacement.
    - front brake pads replacement.

    Regards

Why is that important to know? Do you want a tech that is trying to beat the clock, or do you want quality work performed on your Ferrari?

Find a shop that will give you a firm price.

go the regional forum and ask for an indi shop. Probably your best bet for a "fair" price.

Ferrari's times are irrelevant. The factory times are nearly sixteen years old and based on brand new cars who's servicing needs have since changed massively..

That's not so easy. .. the work has been already done... in a "friend" of mine shop... because of the relationship of trust between us, he did not gave me a prior cost estimate... now I have a problem...

Those are European factory shop times. As above they are more than fair, and below what I would charge.

Does Ferrari do what other shops do and have a fixed number of hours for each job and if the mechanic beats those times he still gets paid for the allowed number of hours?

Yes but many ignore factory times except for warranty work, and that is as it should be because many times the factory times are numbers picked from a hat.

That has become nearly universal and is a big contributor to service prices going through the roof. It also has a lot to do with the industry not attracting good talent.

I have never and will never compensate employees that way.
