Children's Hospital Prom--I need your help... :)

    Guys,
    it's that time of year again and I really need your help giving back.

    Dupont Nemours Children's hospital is hosting their fourth annual prom for patients with Cancer and Blood disorders on April 25th from 5-6. These children unfortunately missed their own proms due to illness. The hospital asked me if anyone in our car community would again be interested in helping transport patients and their guests from the Doubletree hotel on Concord Pike to the Hospital, a few miles away.

    Last year many of you guys helped give these wonderful children a night they will never forget and I am hoping I can count on your generosity again this year. Like last year, we will have a police escort as we drive the children from the staging area at the Doubletree Hotel to the Hospital a couple of miles away. Obviously, I told them that many of our exotics were two seaters, and they indicated that it would not be a problem. Depending on how many drivers we get, we may have to do a few runs.

    Guys, this a wonderful opportunity to help give an unforgettable night to some young adults who have had a really rough go of it.

    Please help me. I would love it if we could have 50 cars. I know it is a lot, but what else could we possibly have to do on a saturday night that is more important than this.

    As an extra incentive, my firm will donate $1000.00 to the hospital if we get enough volunteers to make this viable.

    Just you and a fun car to chauffeur a young man or woman to the prom. Everything else is taken care of... But donations to the hospital are always appreciated :)

    Any chance this year will nicely coincide with a car show same day again? I wanted to come up last year, was going to do Hershey and then your hospital event. I don't recall what happened, whether you filled up or I ended up with a conflict. I'm not saying I won't do the 3hrs each way just for the hospital event, I'd be proud, but it's a stretch. If it were a whole day multi event, might tip the scale?

    This is a great cause and I would definitely be in but I have a wedding to goto that evening so I have to hightail back to Maryland from the Hershey car show otherwise I would go to this hospital event right after the show. Please do this again next year so I can join and help put a few smiles on some kids faces who truly deserve them :)

    Yes, same day. Most of us are doing the Cats and Canines show in Hershey, then we go right from there down to Wilmington for this event. it worked out very nicely timewise last year - we even had time to hit a late lunch in Hershey first! Hope you can come.

    The kids just LOVED it!
