Well, Guys/Gals, I had a bad experience trying to buy a new Z06 Corvette, so I stepped up and bought the car of my dreams. It is in transit from Houston, Texas to my Ontario, Southern California home. I know its old hat to you experienced owners but a real big deal to me.I actually own 12 cars-most in the finishing up stages.I know nothing, nothing about Ferraris but I listen well and have the desire to learn.I have lots of drag experience in 9 second and up classes so I know a little about that stuff, I drove a friend's 458Italia at Willow Springs 1:50 (I know, pathetic, but it was my first track day).My new car is a 2007 F430 Spider Red/Tan with 8K miles on it- driven by a little old lady from Pasadena.I know I will need a local mechanic as I don't think my wrenching skills on hot rods applies here.We have a local dealer CNC Motors but I am sure there are others you can help me with. I plan on hanging about on the forum and listening a lot. Advise for a beginner please. Whatever you can tell me I will appreciate.Bill Holbrook

Talk to Randy at RMT Motorsports in Yorba Linda. He servicesd my 360 last week and did a phenomenal job. You won't be disappointed with his work and customer service.

I had Randy replaced my CS clutch, timing belts and all the fluids. I recommended Randy to all my friends and the price is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to return to Randy for future services.

Consider attending the "Stooge" events that happen 2 -3 times per year in the LA area. The next one is scheduled for April 4th. You can read about the upcoming events on the So Cal page as well as on the 348/355 page. It started out with 348'd but has been expanding to cover other models. The event that I hosted last October had 17 cars show up.

A lot of good information to learn including Ferrari wrenching skills. Come for that or just to enjoy the food, beer and comradeship.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Netman. My car is serviced and back in Cali! I'll be in AZ this weekend, but I'll make it to the HB event the following Sunday.

    Randy? YES.

I have moved to CA from NY and live near Randy's RMT shop. I bring my F430, Audi S8 and MB too. Randy put the fabspeed resonator bypass exhaust on my S8 and did a fantastic job. Thinking about putting Fabspeed or Larini on my F430 next.

He is reasonable and has great experience with cars. I see from 308, 348, 355 to Italia there all the time. He also does Lambos. I would recommend him highly. Very personable and reliable.
