Audio in video sounds dubbed in and not real?

In red the car I thought looked terrible, in Grigio, good in parts. The inlets are vary large and seem out of scale to the car and for some reason seem a crude addition. The rear looks great, a major improvement.

Another good aspect. In fact the car looks great anywhere you don't see those inlets. On the red car, for some reason, they almost look grafted on late in the day.

How are people getting into the show on Press Days? I noticed several FOC's present today... I'm hosting our FOC trip but not until friday.

looks really good in the video, much better than pics
still think the side vents are too big/weird shape but i like it overall and will probably get the spider version!

True, because performance wise the 488 annihilates the poor old F40. ;)

It started with the 458 Speciale, why do you think the 458 "performance model" sounds worse(less high pitched, less aggressive) than the standard model 458 Italia. This approach is contrary to what was done in the past regarding the 360 Stradale and the 430 Scuderia.

Yes, the show car is definitely RCM. Looks good. The whole car looks good and the vents, in person, are not an issue IMV. What exists in reality but not on 2D images is the depth to the vent and the way the rest of the bodywork 'moves' to integrate them. In person the 308 link really comes through whereas I don't get that from the pics.

The damn side scoops really turn me off....

They are way too big in proportion to the rest of the car. Like some people say here, it looks vulgar. I do not doubt that they are there for a reason and benefit the performance/cooling, but aesthetically this is just meh...

As Lukeylikey mentions, a 2D photo usually doesn't do the true shape and nuances the credit they deserve. I'll wait to see it in person. A friend was at Geneva yesterday and told me it looks amazing. Lots to like about this car.

I can only get on board with the rear. The rest just doesn't do it for me.

BTW, someone elsewhere mentioned European deliveries due in June/July, price in Germany is 200K Euro + VAT, so 240K Euro base more or less.

I saw that the Kerb weight for the 488 is 3252. Does anyone know why the 458's Kerb was?

I believe that the 488 is officially 20 lb lighter which makes it identical.

Agreed. It looks fantastic in silver. Can't wait to see the convertible track version (Scud, Speciale).

The red one looks bad on those pics because the hood looks flat.
I edited one of the pics to make it more "3D" and see the curves better.
They need a professional photographer there :)

(BTW, FChat compresses any uploaded pic and especially bad for red color)
