Exactly. Just a play for publicity...the Beechcraft was close to gross (or over) - and took off into icing rain - then crashed close to the airport.

It did not take Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out at the time, and nothing new can conceivably come from a redo over 50 years later.

Good to see that all the major problems of the country have been solved, so they can get to solving 50 year old accidents. Once we get this out of the way, it's on to the Amelia Earhart mystery. Heck, with those solved, figuring out how to bring peace to the Middle East or fixing Social Security should be a piece of cake!….T

There are still questions about Orville Wrights crash that killed Lt Selfridge.

The skies are just not safe until Uncle Sam gets some questions answered.

Your government at work. Must be nice not to have to answer to anyone.

....to create a completely new government department (perhaps even a series....) devoted to reexamining and rehashing questions that were answered many years ago?

Think of the number of new govt employees to be created, all with fresh Obamacare insurance! Maybe there's even a position for 'PajamaBoy'....if his mom and dad will let him out of the basement....

    (sorry...veering dangerously close to p&r....)

And by some politicians definition it could solve unemployment.

Is it that re-budgeting time of year again? Have to justify spending?

Re-open the Hindenburg disaster again while they're at it. Scour the Lakehurst NJ site for that one missing piece of the puzzle..

Here you go, To: The FEDS. Mr. Holley was in a plane that crashed and as a result he perished. The end. Now, get your butts to work finding out what killed my friends back in June so we can all have some closure!

Good question. He must have a lot of juice if a letter gets a response from the government. Maybe we can get him to write to Congress asking to take the ethanol out of gasoline? ;)

There was an article in Texas Montly recently (last two years..LOL!) but it quoted the farmer that salvaged the wreckage, as saying there were "facts unknown" and hinted there were bullet holes in the plane......from the inside, apparantly...

No idea if that is what this is about.

I agree, it iced up, and crashed.

They didn't call him the 'Big Bopper' for no reason, he was a large guy!

There's rumor George Bush had something to do with it...that's why we need to have this reexamined carefully.
