malaysian Ferrari owners?

Mostly hibernating but they'll be back for sure

 

most of them are Langkawi registered cars which allow their owners to have their cars 3 mths only a year on the mainland...there used to be a time when Customs closed an eye or even two, but in the last year or thereabouts, the country is very evidently becoming broke, (with the implimenting of GST etc) so they went after these owners for unpaid duties and tax and confiscated and impounded their cars....

After so long, probably over a year, i dropped by Naza yesterday, to show my friend some cars. No Koniggesegg, no Lambos..quite surprised actually.

 

Hi Navin, not sure about that as my 328 has been sold for a while now.

Apparently, there are quite a no of these 3x8 series that were registered in this country but most are not driven at all.

Hi BK, agree with you. I started an Fchat whatsapp group & everyone took on a different life but even that's dead these days. There are times I completely forgot about forums too! It's like ditching the car and taking a stroll in the gardens ^_^

Anyway, it's also the privacy issue. Realised there's many stalkers & those silent watchers, what's the name you call those? Then security comes into play especially in our cities. We no longer announce our drives & meetings publicly, what we drive or own won't attract the wrong attention so it's probably better this way.

Anyway, I'm well. Thanks! Just did a solo drive up Fraser Hill from KL on Sunday & it was a blast. 4hrs, 250km & 4500ft above sea level in a V12 but it's the route that makes it challenging=fun ^_^_

yeah in the beginning it was fun posting and talking about drives but as u said, plenty of risk factors....
we (about 7 cars from here) were at Frasers over the weekend....came down Sunday around 11-12...didn't see you on the way down so you were prob up before or after that or we missed each other while on the one way route !!!

 

Hi BK, I left KL at 4pm & reached the base about an hour later. We could've met up!

Here's a couple of pics & was really nervous about the last section as that's a very narrow track.

yeap did an overnighter.....it was only "ok" cool....it has been much cooler before...we didn't need the fire place lighted up this time around at night.....
yeap an evora and an Exige S gt4 (which was raced in the gt4 one make series)

 

trolls? people like me are not in the group chat and I take offence to people calling anyone a troll.
Not everyone is bothered with your cars. Get off your high horses and smell reality.

Dude, I'm sure BK wasn't referring to you & neither me. There are a lot of lurkers (now that I remember that word for it!) here who post on other forums & sometimes they jeopardize our security. You may want to know that some of us have stalkers too with them going to our house & taking photos then sharing them! Now this gets us edgy.

Why we've stopped sharing our drives. There's that infamous incident of a convoy that got robbed+accident so much so that some convoys have armed guards now with license to shoot #_# Then, some newbies do not adhere to our conduct of convoys as there's always those cowboys who go around overtaking dangerously; endangering everybody's life.

Then there's strangers who chat us up on FB, wanting to take photos of our cars but they get rude and intrusive. Now that seriously offends me. Most of us are busy people earning a living, working over 12hrs days to pay off our hobbies so why should we entertain strangers and waste few hours of our precious life away to let them take photos & share them around? My family deserves that extra few hours & I'd rather spend them with my kids.

At least show some manners & chat nicely, show some respect & maybe we'll oblige but don't come & say "Hey, I'm a photographer & I want to shoot your car." "Hello?" "Why are you not replying?" "So when are you free?"

Therefore, I've stopped sharing my acquisitions altogether in public forums. Hope that clears up.

 

Jon, it's amazing you even replied that joker...it basically boils down to terrible comprehension of the English language...anyone with half a kidney which enables them to read or write would have understood that i was explaining to Jon the word which describes "stalkers & those silent watchers, what's the name you call those?" in post #3162. nobody called anyone anything in specific....

 

Joker might be your Boss !!! Don't assume everyone is like you . The proud would fall and you would too. The world is small and your attitude sucks!!

 

As you can see from his reply , he is FOS.

People here on Fchat are enthusiast and it's really sad that some have such an attitude .
