According to the website Barchetta.cc, The pictures Will took at the FCA National Meet would have been of chassis 200. Source: FCA National Story
Well OK then, sorry my mistake. 198 was also at the Austin F1 fan fest back in 2012, the cars was being handled & display by Risi / FoH.
Did anyone else see the genius in the Hellcat that was did a burnout along the row where all the exotics park - with all kind of people around and in front of him? That show is getting out of control. I also witnessed a Mustang pulling out of the lot onto the tolway service road that floored it, fishtailed and almost took the car next to him out. I'm not sure if I will be back...
I heard DPS is getting involved too...used to it was just Plano PD. I've got a feeling DPS will be more strict, if what I heard is true. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
Just wait until Classic BMW gets their ass handed to them in a lawsuit for a bad accident in their parking lot.
I haven't been to C&C in months, it's too bad Classic BMW has pretty much given up on site organization/control of this venue. Too many @sshats in one place for me personally.
I went last week because it was a nice day and my son wanted to. I tried to enter from the South entrance, they wouldn't let me in, even though there were at least 3 open spaces on the Exotic row. I parked WAY North and hiked it. Only one 'old' Ferrari, another 87 328. I chatted with the guy for a while, he said he pulled in with the guy with a Bugatti. Looked and looked, never found the Bug. P1 was the star of the show, near a 918. After navigating the crowd, I was glad they didn't let me in. May have been the most people there that I've ever seen. What a zoo. P1 was the star of the show.
I'm just glad FW has a C&C now. Not as good as Dallas in terms of what shows up, but far less hectic. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
Back when my husband worked for Classic, he ran the gate at C&C. It was a lot more organized then and a lot of people who had no business running cars inside got turned away. They thought he was an ******, but whatever. He knew what should be seen and what shouldn't. He also suggested long ago that people essentially apply for slots and be issued cards for showing to try and avoid drivers showing up earlier and earlier. Something needs to give because it's getting so big - with drivers and people. We thought about bringing out cars this month, but honestly, the thought of getting up at 5 am on a Saturday in order to assure a spot isn't all that appealing.
I pulled up to the CC south entrance in the F430 last month. The guy working that entrance told me "there probably isn't any room left in the Porsche area for my car but I was welcome to try". He says this while he is standing 3 feet away from my bright yellow Ferrari Fender shields. This is the guy making the call as to what to let in and what to reject?
I'm reading a lot of negative things about this past month. I was out there on a quick trip and we chose that particular weekend so we could attend your local C&C. I was going to come on here and say thank you for all that attended and the people that put it on (whether they are on here or not). I realize it was very crowded and lots of things going on but it was exciting and certainly didn't disappoint for exotic selection.
At the March event I witnessed a Hellcat with some air conditioning company's logos all over it (the one's that were on gas monkey garage) run over an elderly mans foot. The driver of the hellcat refused to roll down his window and apologize. The hellcat immediately behind them proceeded to do a burn out beside my car and the 918 and then another in front of the LaFerrari. Probably the last time I ever go...
Anyone going to C&C this weekend? I'm down to meet up somewhere off the tollway about 6:30 and roll in as a group. On another note, the I got an invite to the exotic drivers car cruise after C&C, and it looked more like a parade than an actual rally (which is sad, because there are quite a few fun roads around lake ray hubbard). Anyone plan on going to that? I might be convinced if the crowd is worth getting to know.
I'll be there, but not by 6:30. Will be lucky to arrive by 8:00 and fully expect to (again) be turned away.
I'll be there. Take your DD and park in the visitors lot. Less stress and hassle. Then try to sneak away later for a nice drive. It doesn't seem worth it to take your car anymore with the huge crowd and craziness
I've avoided C&C for month's and don't have one regret. I've heard that the Ft.Worth C&C is gaining steam.
Today will be the last time I will attend the Dallas event. Why? To start things off, I have been sitting in traffic....on the Spring Creek off ramp for the past 15 minutes. Still not on the access road. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS. EDIT-made it onto the feeder road. Plano PD, if your presence is needed at this event, help direct traffic instead of just focusing on people leaving.
