I have it in my car factory fitted. Most passengers don't even notice it's there until they ask how fast they went and I ask if they were watching. It's fancy but would probably not get it next time.

I'll be interests to hear how your install goes if you do it. I imagine the wiring may already be in place.

My car has it and believe it was an $7900 option. My passengers love it! I would imagine it would be very costly to add after the fact.

Passengers do not even buy gas. Save $7900 and use the Mushroom Theory of management. (Keep em in thr dark, crap on em and can em.) :D

Pretty cool option.. I asked my dealer about retrofitting - nothing exists that I know of but I can't see it being that hard.

I bought my FF used and it came with this option. I find it to be a total nuisance. I don't need my occupants knowing how fast I'm driving (or not). It would be OK if it would stay in the dark position once you get it there but it comes back on every time you restart the car. I hate it. My next FF will likely be factory-ordered and definitely not have this option.

Other useless options mine came with is leather trunk (boot) lining and DVD screens on the back of the front seat headrests. Two more options I wouldn't specify.

The car however is absolutely WONDERFUL and I'll definitely replace it with another one when the time is right. Maybe for the next facelift, maybe for the next new model cycle.

    Hello Bob,

Yes, the passenger display is an option after delivery. There are three options available:
    Standard $4,338.83
    Alutex $9548.45
    Carbon Fiber $7394.46

    Labor is about 7 hours.

    Regards,

    Sara

Can the display radio information or is it just speed and RPM?

It can be cycled through the two trip odomter displays and that weird setting that shows the various systems like e-diff, along with ht edewfault view of rpm/mph/gear.

We love it in our car, and while I sort of get MarkNCs issue with it, its not like the passengers can't see the speedo on the driver side, so its really not giving anything away that the passenger can't get with a bit of leaning. Meanwhile, it offers the opportunity for the passenger to do more active nav help by watching the trip odometer settings. Been really useful for us on road trips and rallies.
