Obviously the title will be won by one of these two. Thought I would start up the Hamilton vs Rosberg thread again as I know many people don't want the race threads to be dominated by this discussion. Should be an interesting season...

Be interesting to see the form of both drivers come this weekend...

 

It will be interesting to see if Rosberg can re-assert himself early in the season, or whether Ham will finish him off psychologically. I hope its a close season long contest.

I think it's lucky for Hamilton that he broke up with his girlfriend off season, so he has all his crying and tantrums out of the way and can concentrate on driving.

I'd be surprised if Hamilton doesn't win. Nico wouldn't only have to beat Hamilton, but the bias of the whole team as well.

My sad attempt at adding .999% humor.

 

Its hard to bet against Lewis, but I feel like this is Nico's year. He's going to come back stronger after last year's disappointment. After being that close, he won't settle for anything less than the championship. At any rate, it will be a close, hard fight the entire season.

 

Lewis is a stunner so with that being said Nico best keep his wits about him and focus on points more than race wins for the WDC title this season.

 

It looks like Hamilton can win every race if his car doesn't DNF... has anyone ever done that? He could have simply drove off in the distance but he smartly just managed the gap.

 

Well so far it looks like Hamilton is going to lead the way. But I have faith that Rosberg will put up a good fight and it won't all go his way. Still, I think he is the more talented and experienced with the championships, so Mr. Rosberg will have his work cut out as he has said.

 

It's sort of weird that on FERRARI chat we have this thread, but not a Vettel v Kimi thread.

Rosberg, as it seems, after the first GP looks nervous and well beaten by Hami.

 

I agree and once again Nico was sleeping at the tree, I was not surprised. Another turning point was during the safety car when Nico was once again sleeping and Lewis got that huge jumpstart when Nico should have been right up the tailpipe of Lewis. Now this is not saying that Lewis would not have kept the lead but Nico would have at least had a shot. Although I would like to see Nico get his first WDC I have to agree with the F1 commentary team that it may be two in a row for Lewis.

 

That being the case, and assuming Lewis inks a long term Merc deal, I expect Nico to leave at the end of the season to do a Massa. So… when do we start the speculation over who will be the second Merc driver next season??!

 

I hope they crash each other out of the race all season long.

 

Because it's no contest. Vettel is clearly better than Kimi, just as Alonso was.

 

I could see this happening. Nico pairing with Vettel perhaps?
