on autoscout24.EU, the one that covers entire europe, there are only 2.

one at 180k the other at 220k. euros.

There are also 2 Superamericas and 2 GTOs. Always talkin about autoscout ofc. let alone the 599 Apertas that're going for the million.

Limited editions seems to be like Switzerland right now.

    Who said "Speciale Aperta" ?

I believe a 2009 Scud in the US is about $185-210k right now... I think its cheapest to buy in US maybe because of the quantity. Here in Asia especially in Philippines has crazy prices! My friend might go for the $350,000usd 2008 Scud this week (2,800 miles)! Got mine early last year for $340,000usd (2,505miles) LOL!

I cannot understand why people in US are so worried about mileage...is it the same with girls? only 18 years old ones are sought after? LOL

because the majority of them dont almost drive their cars, unlike us europeans. In Europe its extremely hard to find a car with only one owner with 3 years of age with less than 7k miles.

In the US it's normal. They buy the car, put maybe 1k miles in the year they own it, go to some Cars&Coffees, then sell it for almost the same price they bought it (thanks to the closed market they are) and buy another one, always with few miles so no need (technically) to buy the Ferrari Approved coverage, which is basically mandatory for us europeans. I was astonished too when I learnt of this.

There ARE americans who put miles in their cars, but they are really few, cause they are the only ones with the real money to withstand the massive depreaciation that comes with putting miles on your car in the US.

I think American exotic car owners are idiots. I have written about it many times. They think these things are investments. They protect the value of the cars by never driving them because frankly they really cannot afford them. Its an American thing. Posers. Now I am not referring to the museum pieces of old. I am referring to the Modern versions of the iconic Brands. Ferrari is on the top of the list of these.

I agree with everything except the last piece. I know of a ton of collectors that have no cash flow issues. They just like to buy and park them in a collection. Sad to me; but I don't judge.

The real question that DannyBoy is asking is "why has my Scud sat, unsold for 14+ months when it is so rare?"

The answer is that you are experiencing market forces at work.

Many Real Estate Professionals caution sellers not to price too high because the real buyers are ready and will act quickly. If not they leave and the buyers that remain are more casual and less ready to strike. Missing that wave of strong buyers prolongs your outcome.

After just completing a purchase of an 08 rosso scuderia Scud, I can tell you that one must fully, not casually research the ads before making a generalization about values and availability. First off, many of the cars that you see advertised have been sold. Some of them months ago. Red ones with low mileage are very rare and sell quickly or are priced in or near the $200k range. Unusual cars with"unique" or distasteful interiors or unloved exterior colors will languish despite being fine examples. Yes these are market forces. Good cars in desirable colors are selling at better than decent prices in reasonable periods. I spoke with one owner who held out for his near 200k price and rejected many offers in the 190's before accepting his full ask.
As in any thinly traded market, there will be outliers but they don't make the market. Each car is awarded a price based on it's own attributes and buyer voracity.

I agree with you John. At the end of the day a scuderia is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And in most cases its the full asking price.

Good low mileage red ones are rare now... And that seams to be what 80 percent of the buyers want. Prices will start to rise once buyers can no longer resist the urge to scratch that itch.

I was informed of a red with gold stripes 08 that was sold recently here on the east coast for 200k
