    I think a lot of new cars have that feature. You can usually see it during top gear track tests. When the stig really brakes hard, the warning lights come on. I have seen it on a few new cars. Including a Fiat 500 or Panda.

    In Europe we are taught to press the hazard lights in case of a sudden drop of speed on the highway.
