Yep! All in good fun..... Here's Oxford's entry; electrocute: definition of electrocute in Oxford dictionary (American English) (US) Interesting here in the link is "American English".... I wonder what the "English English" section has to say..... Cheers, Ian
Fernando is a bad seed... fast but overall a bad seed. I dont see Him and Dennis / McLaren ending well again. even if he drives in Malaysia - the car's performance is so poor he'll just start his internal political ploys
He's not in the hospital any longer. In fact he looks tan. Maybe from a nice vacation? Alonso back in McLaren's simulator | F1 news | Motorsport.com
Maybe got inside info that he was not going to make past the installation lap and what a better time to extend his holidays...
The electric shock discussion just reminded me of this scene from the 1983 Bond/Connery film 'Never Say Never Again', where the villain invites Bond to play the Domination Game in his casino: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0355pD08lY[/ame] Maybe McLaren has built Alonso the F1 equivalent, a special version of the car where the faster and further he goes, the higher the electric shock level gets?
Fernando Alonso impressed by McLaren's simulator* Fernando Alonso returned to work with McLaren at their Woking headquarters today, trying out their latest simulator. When asked about how it went he said: "The simulator is so realistic! I did half of a slow lap and then the program simulated the car breaking and not being fixable so I was done for the day! - Exactly like the real car!" *NOTE: Parts of this story may not necessarily be an exact replication of what actually happened today, or of any statements actually made!
Did the simulator knock him unconscious too? He might want some more rest Btw never seen two more forced smiles then Boullier and Alonso on Twitter at McLaren HQs
If the doctors pass him fit and Manor Marussia can get their cars running then he might be racing in Malaysia, but if Manor Marussia are not running then he'll just be going round on his own getting lonely, whilst looking in his rear view mirror for Hamilton and Rosberg to lap him!
ouch! I feel for those guys. Bernie piling on and saying 'they had no intention of running' and he 'wants them to pay the freight charges' really isn't helping anyone either. Given that all their hard drives were wiped before leaving, one could make an argument that they shouldn't have traveled. But I guess they go straight from Aus to Malaysia, and by then they should (hopefully) have their 'puters working. No doubt the S/W jockeys told Graham they could get 'er done in time. That's the nature of S/W jocks..... However long they say it will take, double it, was always my (often optimistic) rule of thumb.... Cheers, Ian
Hard not to root for the underdog but sometimes the greatest kindness is putting the cur out of its misery. What's their best case? Survival as most likely to be lapped first?
I'm hoping they can give the Woking boys some trouble! Maybe VDG's FIL will throw some money their way.... Sorry for the existing guys, but given some cash they'll be OK. They have scored points after all..... Cheers, Ian
Ah, the tyranny of diminished expectations. I don't think that Macca will be hanging around the back of the grid long enough for a Macca/Manor rivalry to become a tradition.
The problem is that at the rate things are going, long before Mclaren move up the field Manor will no longer be racing!!!
..not sure...but i guess they'r trying...something to do with italian electronics....you know, the devil's stuff!!!
I don't think anyone was actually expecting McLaren to be competitive this year. We all knew Mercedes is the shoe-in for the WCC. This is a developmental year for them to get accustomed to the new power units. If they don't get their **** together by 2016, then we know.
