    NLA no longer available.

You would have to get used parts.

Or see if someone can rebuild them.

I used to do hydraulics On Helicopters when I was in the Marines.

If you can isolate your issue perhaps someone can rebuild them.

Damn maybe I should get my business just to fix ferrari convertible tops.

I would search ebay for cars being parted out.

I'd probably rip it all out and convert it to a 348 all-by-hand-mechanism. It's just over engineered for what it does, seriously!

I understand a California hard top or even a 360 which need to be mechanically powered because of the complexity and the opening within the body of the car. But on the 355, it just sits behind the headrests and no body parts on the actual car need to move or open & close so it sometimes feels like an exaggerated thing to have a push button hydraulic system for such a simple & short range of motion.

Can you adjust the wiring to override the seat potentiometers (or however its spelled- the seat sensors is what I mean), and just move the seats forward before beginning the top down/up operation? This way you're not ripping out anything, and saving the money/aggrivation of dealing with those sensors...

I just "manualized" my top. The seats do not have to be moved, just the seat backs. FWIW, it takes two people to raise my top; I'm not able to put enough forward/upward pressure on the front stay or bows. The ???????s on both sides of the car have to be maneuvered individually.

can you provide more info on what your issue is?

I just fixed my top a couple weekends ago. After hours of trying to figure the dang thing out, i started putting everything back together. Just as I was finishing up, I found a blown fuse. Quick trip to AutoZone for a 30A fuse, topped off the fluid, and 20 minutes later the top was back in business.

Sometimes i have to play with the top's micro switch by the drivers visor to activate the process in putting the top down. Not sure if that micro switch is somehow linked to the seats or not.

You don't have to wire anything, it is already there. Pull the little button out of the side of the pump cover that is labeled emergency top switch and if the hydraulics and the top itself works you can run the top up and down with the buttons overriding the seat and window switches etc. You could probably wire that to the center switch if you wanted.

Or simply convert it to manual and be done with it. Takes 2 hours costs nothing and is reversible

I think that's what he was talking about.

I have my pots unplugged and I'll be rewiring the override switch to the console switch so I don't have to fiddle with the plug.

Wow why not convert to manual spec and save the money ? From the videos I saw it seemed effective. Luckily I never had a roof failure but then again I would only use the roof at the beginning and end of each season or if a rainstorm camr out of no where.

    Tim,
I suspect (hope) that included a complete new top, along with at least 5 individual components being replaced.
