I have long thought to buy a spare Jalpa as a part supply, I echo Derek that parts availability and cost are insane for these cars, as are the available technical information/data. I don't think a non-runner is worth 40-50k but at some point these cars will appreciate significantly.

Claude, there was a red 1984 Jalpa at Jiffy auto sales in Ontario and it just sold last month for $49,000 cdn. It had a engine rebuild, SS exhaust, msd ignition. That's what they are selling for! There are so many crazy asking prices but nobody is stupid enough to pay double what they are worth.

I know I contacted Jiffy about it. he told me he has another and he's asking $75K this time.

The two cars I'm talking about are still looking good. You would think they are nice looking at the pictures. But haven't been driven for years and engine never started. But they are much more than just parts cars.

Here is the 88 which is the worst.

if the guy on ebay that is parting out the blue Jalpa gets half of what he's asking for the parts its worth it as a breaker.

Yes I have a set, good quality, as heavy as the corvette wheel, and the tires are expensive, so check that out before buying (longstone tyre)

you might want to check pirelli P7 corsa vintage rally tires. much like the TB's they are avalible for street use in europe now. they offer them for the stratos and other gr4 cars so it should be close for the silhouettes/jalpa bravos

Agree that looks like a great Jalpa. Auction estimate seems a little low to me, will be interesting to see what price it achieves.
