    Matt,

I will pass on any info Al gives me. I know he sent these to Palo Alto Speedometer, which is a great place and where I sent my clock years ago. They have a machine that removes and replaces the chrome bezel. I think some people do it themselves with limited success! Al also said the Euro cars speedometers start at zero. All the other US cars I have seen including my 1975 the tachometers and speedos start at about the first mark. I did find several other photos of Euro cars with the needle at or near zero. Not sure why this is. They sure look good though!

    Markus,

What turns on the front lower lights on your car?

And if you turn on that fog light it turns on which rear light?

Just curious. Maybe some US cars had to have it changed when imported?

    Friends,

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. Al has a few extra sets of the front and main aluminum panels, with plugs, if anyone is interested.

I think most of you know I am very fond of the Fiamm horns and wheels of all kinds so here are some great shots. I keep hoping one of you steps up to the plate like me and gets one of these cars. This is a once in a lifetime chance, and I can't believe I was lucky enough to be able to be part of this chapter in the GT4 history! What Al and his team are doing is what usually happens to million dollar Ferrari's. He is true believer in the GT4 and lucky enough to be able to bring these fantastic cars back to their ORIGINAL likeness.

I graduated in 1974 and this will be like me going back through time and having my parents give me the graduation present I wanted but did not deserve! Ironically they are giving it to me now.

There is an Italian story that when souls come to the gates of heaven God asks Enzo who he should let in. I have no doubt my parents are sitting their amused at their sons priorities. I would give everything I have on earth to have them back for five minutes.... When I get this fine automobile with Al' s blessing I will dedicate it to their memory. Bill and MaryEanes Garven two beautiful people whom I was lucky enough to be their son...My father was proud member of the Italo American Club in San Antonio Texas, my mother a Lasso Drum Major at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair! Please excuse me the indulgence of showing you their pictures, but without them this post would not exist! My father was quite the playboy and it is hard to find a picture of him without a drink in his hand!

    Enjoy!!!

Great stuff and what a handsome couple! Your parents would be very proud of your dedication. The average enthusiast just doesn't understand how great these GT4's are My Tiara boat has Fiamm air horns. I just rebuilt them yesterday...boring white, not that crazy candy apple red. Maybe I should put a Ferrari paint job on them?

    Friends,

Im pretty sure the car is one he has available but think it is the same color as the Paris car. You can tell its a later car by the steering tie rod. On the early cars the tie rods attaches from the bottom on the later cars as my 1975 it attaches from above as in the photo and attached parts pages. Also earlier in the thread Al is standing by this car and it has holes for a prancing horse emblem.

Sorry, Rob, just read this ...

The lower (rectangular) Frontlights (behind the grille) are only passing lights, switched on only when the driving lights are OFF ("eyes shut") by pulling the Light stick. If the driving lights are switched ON ("eyes open"), the passing light is the high beam (inner lights in the eyes), and the lower rectangular lights are dead - similar to the "permanent" high beam (light stick "up")

The Foglight switch is only for the rear foglight. It's a separate small light (chrome housing) mounted under the rear bumper. See picture

I don't know, if US cars have been changed when imported, but it seems so and is possible, for sure.
