    Asking price IIRC is $45K. The price went up when they took out the driver's side carpet! ;)

    PPS: No wonder Carini had it, it was for sale in 2013 in Wayne, PA! :D

    I believe the car is still for Sale at Gullwing... and so any "sold" comments are probably referring to the previous dealership.

    Those aren't the correct tools for a 412 are they? I thought 412s had the same toolkit as the series II 400i?

    I really like this car.
    Are these cars "Grey Market" like the 400i's?
    Any smog issues in California?
    Does anyone have any advice for someone looking to buy a 412i?

    Mike, what I found out so far and with everyone's help for my car:
    you have to find a car that was once registered in CA; with it it should have gone through all the stickers and testing needed in CA; if the VIN shows it was once registered here and is not sold through a dealer, important, then you simply get it smogged (if you can) and go to your local AAA to register it. While this is what I found so far, I am getting the car ready now and be glad to let all know what I experienced.

    I know the 400i's in Cali can be trouble, but is that the same for the 412i's I wonder?

    My understanding is that all 412s like all 400i's, are grey market imports. My 412 was as well, but it was purchased through a USA dealer, owner picked it up in Italy, drove it some (probably on vacation) then it was shipped to the USA and federalized before he picked it up here. Hope this helps.
