Looks like Magnus has quite a project with this one if stock is his goal. If so, in original condition, it will never be.
For sure. Once more discover this type of info, some will be selling, or adding to they have, to get something really neat.
MW's car was an AU del. as far as I know. 6 X 75's came to Australia. 14 X 76's and 21 X 77's. There was another UK del. 75 that found it's way to Australia that sold around 10 years ago for around $25K. Red and rusty. I have one of the 76's. Where the others are is anybody's guess?
Great pics/ article Rich, Thank you. I wish it could be translated for my reading pleasure. That Minerva Blue with Blue Mckenzie tartan interior is sweet. Any more pics of the car, reminds me of my '79, thanks for the post.
He says in this video that the car had come from the UK. I suspect it might be the one I saw about 10 years ago for sale at $25,000. How many other Red UK delivered 75's would have made there way here to Australia? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiiDpaZTzd8
Agree – awesome color combination and the blue leather with tartan-dress has to be pretty rare for a 1976 Turbo. The article's photo captions emphasize the similarities between the production Turbo and 934. Rough translation: Spoiler: Petite lip on the series (front), beefy box on the racing turbo. Rear spoiler: For regulations reasons, Group 4 has the standard-wing. Fender flares: From the sheet pulled in the series, riveted in race trim. Air intakes for brake cooling charge air and the racing front spoiler. A lot of 934’s in this YouTube video that showcased the epic battle between BMW and Porsche during the 1976 racing season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8UI4ShRfRE
It could be the same car you saw 10 years ago. It looks like a well sorted car with mainly the interior to address. Here are a few photos that accompanied the Magnus Walker video Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thats a great find. The February 1977 issue of Motor Sport magazine featured the Porsche Cars Great Britain 1977 Earls Court Motor Show car with Martini decals and blue, red and white leather interior. One of the article photos shows a B.F. Goodrich plastic sheet in the trunk along with the Oafix gloves. One of the few times I've seen these accessories in a period photo. The US car for sale in the UK has now sold. This looked like a good buy, I guess it will be heading to the States? Anyone on here? Porsche 930 Turbo » 4Star Classics
In Patrick Paternie's 2000 edition of "The Porsche 911", three photos of the same Symbolic Turbo appeared in the book's turbo section (note the California 930 plate). Folks, It's not showing on their inventory yet but Dallas Motorsports posted on their Instagram that a 1977 930 Turbo in anthracite metallic has just arrived. https://instagram.com/p/08qIz7GzhG/?taken-by=dallasmotorsports https://instagram.com/dallasmotorsports/
I was standing next to it three days ago, it's not in the States, but it belongs to someone on here (not me). Nice car, but it was sold a long time ago already. Erik
If only option were the Pirelli tires the car needs a radio delete plate instead of that nasty aftermarket radio. Available from Porsche around $15 bucks. Just a few details and it could be nicer as it was offered / sold in the factory original category price range. Makes me wonder, what else?
1976 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera Coupe - Fort Lauderdale And OUCH, they painted over parts when they did the re-spray. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well spotted 930. Those rubber pieces are available as reproductions from Dr Konradsheim if the new owner wants to replace them.
Uh oh!! Lots of stuff wrong at second glance. No Bamberg, maybe not US car however the overspray is really poor and the radio is wrong no matter what. If no radio then radio delete plate needs to be there if as built is the goal for this one (And some new rubber engine cover bumpers will help).
What radio would my 76 ROW have had new? I suspect it was a Bamberg but I see different models of these?
